Ok, so I have a stack of crates in my house, right on top of each other (because I'm an idiot, apparently) - how do I pick them up one at a time...or at all?

if all else fails (after you try the things mentioned above) go to the terminal and start doing "retrieve items" or whatever, it will make you probably move everything in your house but its a good last resort
