Thread: Anyone have a good formula for pricing Radioactive power?

I'm looking to sell my radioactive power and I was hoping someone can give me a good idea on how to price them. I'm guessing some kind of formula with the PE. Thanks for any input

Depending on the economics of your server this may vary, but here is what I go with:

My understanding is that anything with a PE under 500 is 1 to 1 unit of energy. I pay anywhere from 1 to 1.5 cpu for this depending on how desperate I am.

When the PE is over 500 you get more than 1 to 1 unit of energy, I believe at 1000 pe you would acutally get 2 units of energy per unit of resource. So 500-750 I pay 1.25 - 1.75. 750-899 1.5 - 2.0, 900+ 1.75 - 2.25.

A lot of it depends on how desperate I am and how much they have. If I am buying a ton, 500k or more, I normally get great prices.

You are correct! It is all about the PE. From most of the vendors I deal with, if the PE is less than 500 they charge 1.5 cpu and up. If the PE is 500 up to 1000 they charge double or higher since that is double the energy. Less than 500 PE=1. More than 500 PE=2. I hope this helps!

When I used to harvest radioactives for a living it was 3cpu for under PE500 and 4cpu for PE500-750, anything over PE750 was 5cpu.

It always sold out.

Ghost,

I price radioactive based on the energy provided per unit. You are correct in that this is based on PE.

For any PE less than or equal to 500, it is a 1:1 correlation. (i.e. 500 units of 500 PE radioactive = 500 energy units and 500 units of 97PE radioactive = 500 energy units)

For PE values over 500, you can compute the energy provided as follows:

(PE - 500) * .002 + 1= energy provided per unit.

i.e.:

Current spawn on Gorath is 987PE radioactive

(987 -500) * .002 +1 = 1.974 energy provided per unit.

I tend to charge 1 credit per real energy unit using the same formula as the above post. Still makes a nice profit, although many people sell at 1.5 CP-REU and still sell out.

Best of luck,

This is an easy way...

cpu = PE/500

If the PE is under 500, just treat it as 500. This will result in a 1-2cpu range, if you find that you need to raise prices a little, just modify the formula to use 450 or 400 instead of 500.

depends on your server , but on gorath i sell 500 PE for 3.5 too 5 CPU of a vender and it sells at a nice pace.

Others sell it for 1.5 or 2 cpu the same stuff ... so i guess they sell there's faster but mine always sells.

i only sell it in the 100k stack size ... so ill load 10 stacks at 3.5 cpu and 5 stacks at 5 cpu

quite often someone just buys all the stacks ...I see no reason to sell stuff cheep
