Hi guys,
Before I use my shiny new mining installation deed, I need some info.
Can I just place it anywhere that shows up green, or do I need to (as I suspect) seek out with my survey tool a say 75% concentration of a particular resource and then build the harvester there ?
Does it also offer you the choice of which resource to harvest in the set up ?

You can build it anywhere it shows as green, you will choose what to harvest within the harvester menus, there is no minimum %age but if you don't survey it's pot luck what concentration you'll be on.

Generally if you dump them close to loads of other harvesters the chances are you'll be on a high concentration of something, but it's anyone's guess whether it's what you're trying to pull up.

Surveying is much more efficient and productive than simply thowing a harvester somewhere and hoping there is something to gain from it. It takes more effort to find a high concentration of what you are looking for but in the long run you will come out ahead.
