The devs slave over an FS system for months. They work so hard on it to make it the best thing they can think of.... they get grief.
Devs put inventory in furniture: CELEBRATION! OMG HAX YA YAY A GO TEAM GO!

No worries. As you wrote this several of us are hard at work figuring out how to grieve the devs over the furniture too. I'm sure we'll find something totally deplorable about it. Just give us a few more hours

hmm. thinks about wookie rugs. what a cool idea. Kind of like a bear skin rug, but wookie. I like it. For that matter, how about ewok pelts to hang on my wall. I have killed enough of those little buggers, they now attack me on site. LOL.

The difference between people moaning over jedi and cheering over furniture storage is extremely simple.
Jedi are a miniscule amount of the population.
Alot of people don't even want to play jedi, they have more important wants and concerns with regard to the game.
Regardless of whether you consider that 60% of the playerbase want jedi, they didn't like the way the new system was implemented. Effectively the devs made it twice as tedious (not hard) to get jedi. I have no problem with the changes, I don't want a jedi, but regardless...
Furniture storage is something that effects 100% of the playerbase and is a change that players have wanted for months.
People generally are quite angry at the amount of attention given to "fix" the jedi profession, one which effects less than 5% of the playerbase, when professions which effect a much larger percentage are left by the wayside.
Seriously, with the amount of time it to to "revamp" the jedi profession, this game might just be working by spring 2007.
