ok, i'm trying to take a picture of JUST swg, a simple screenie. And i do it how everyone else does it by pressing 'print screen' while in game.

However, a problem arises:

this problem is that when i want to paste the screenie into word or paint for example, i also get my desktop background shared with the swg screenie. Half of the picture i 'print screen'd' is of the swg game and the other half is of my desktop background and you cannot seperate the two.

PLEASE HELP, i just want to take a screenie of ONLY the swg event and nothin to do wit my desktop background.

*NOTE: i have the game in full screen

so if anyone can help and tell me what to do or not to do, i'll be VERY happy

Are you running in windowed mode? I know you said "full screen", but that might mean windowed mode expanded to max.... How's the "sharing" showing up, is your desktop surrounding the SWG screenshot? Is your desktop bleeding through the screenshot?

Maybe try Alt-print screen. That's the windows combination to make a copy of just the active window.

Actually, now that I think about it, maybe there's a couple different things going on. "Print screen" by itself is the windows command to do a screen scrape of everything and put that into the clipboard. However, within SWG "Print screen" activates the screen shot capability of the game itself, but the results go to a file in your SWG directory (called screenShot##.jpg if I remember correctly). Check whether you've got some clean shots there rather than pasting the clipboard into a paint/word doc.
