Thread: 6:30 am EST and i CANNOT LOG IN TO LAUNCHPAD!!!!!

why oh why!!! i have had to ctrl + alt + del over 100 times now, ive been trying to get connected for over 30 minutes now!!!
i start launch pad, it downloads 1 file, and hangs forever, i reset it, download 1 more png file, have to reset again, over and over and over and over again! i spent OVER an hour the other day and i STILL couldnt log in!! i NEVER had a problem before, this game just gets better and better and better

lol almost 15 minutes later, i think i was able to download about 4 more png's haha

is this the first time you've tryed to sing on in the last 3=4 days? There is a new launch pad set up in preparation of JTL and it was a pain to download for me and I think most others also.
I had to keeep doing the ctrl-alt-del think too, probably 6-7 times over the course of 30 minutes before I finally downloaded and let me into the new launchpad.

like i did it the other day too, only took an hour that night lol,. tonight during the post here it was trying to download new components or something, took forever, came up 3 minutes before reset at 7am est lol

LOL i was just about to start cursing etc cos i was just having this problem...
but launchpad just came up 
i have been rebooting and doing ctrl alt del, but after the 5th reboot i thought it had frozen so i came on here to see if anyone else was having same problem... then it loads up
try just leaving it frozen and if that dont work click this link maybe its magic
shame,i was looking forward to a good moan

i just left it alone for 10 mins while i thought it was stuck, when i came back it was done

This new launch pad took me 4 days and over60 log in tries to DL the entire thing and not have it hang. It is not from acrappy computer, unmaintained computer, or a sketchy internet connection. It was very frustrating.
IMO this the work I have come to expect for SWG, so at least now I'm not disapointed when it happens.

Yeah I had problems downloading the PNG's too...I just kept closing and reopening it and sooner or later it worked.

One thing that makes it go a little smoother is to right-click the shortcut, go to the "Compatibility" tab and check teh box for "Turn off advanced text services for this program". That's not on all versions of windows (I've got it on XP, it might be in 2k), but it's worth a shot.
I still had a couple of hangs with the latest launchpad re-do, but it got through eventually.
