I bought this game at launch and only wanted to be a Commando. Imperial of course... anyways, during the first month, I became my Commando only to find it nearly 100% broken. This did not make me happy, so I decided to let go for awhile. I kept an eye on things and came back when mounts and vehicles were introduced. At this point I heard the Commandos were a bit better. This of course was the famous Hologrinding period. This timeI was better. I could do some damage with my Flamethrower and with the right spices and buffs, I could wear some good Composite and could solo well and group when needed.

I left the game as I still was overall disappointed with the profession and I still only wanted to be a Commando. So I played for two months ( had a bit of fun as an entertainer and Dancer) and quit. Fast forward to this past week. I decided to check things out with the new CU. I heard some mixed reviews, but I thought, mainly because everyone was used to the old system. I logged in and the first thing I see is about 8-10 Jedi's dueling... I sighed and moved on... anyways...

Now, the game has drastically changed... and for the better I think. With the CU, I know the new roles and armor types and what not, and the current role the Commando is in, is not me, but I don't disagree with it. I am thinking of respec'ing or starting brand new (with all the new levels and quests, I feel like I am in the middle of nowhere right now). I am looking for a good combo that will allow me to solo, mind you, I am not looking for the "uber l33t" solo template. Just something that I can solo with and I can party with when I have time (I work alot of hours). I am mostly interested in something ranged (I like the idea of Rifleman, but my questions in the Rifleman forums went unanswered). But I am up for a melee template as well (I always liked the idea of a TKA). Also, I am all about RP'ing the whole Imperial thing, so I would love to get a template that will allow me to wear the stromtrooper armor and the clone armor.

Also, is there any hunting guides, such as level ranges, quests and their levels of the different planets? It's been so long, I have no idea what is what anymore. Any help is appericated. Thanks.
