I was just wondering if your character attributes ever go up in the game as you progress.
If it doesn't go up, how do you get to attack tougher foes with the same hp as you started with?

They do not go up or change at all unless you change them via stat migration. The ability to take on tougher foes comes with better weapon skills, better weapons, skills that let you take less damage (like dodge and toughness), and armor that absorbs damage. A tough pet will also help alot. Though there are some foes that are just not meant to be killed by a solo player.

Your stats are somewhat static, the ability to attack tougher mobs will come from an increase in SKILLS, not an increase in STATS.
In a similar type game, you depended on your personal stats going up, but in SWG, you will depend on your SKILLS increasing.
Remember also, a mob that is red to you while you are using a laser pistol, may be blue to you using your carbine, IF your skill in Carbine is higher. But if you are a Marksman, you need to work all your weapons skills to round your character out.
Hope this helps.

Well, the one problem I'm having is that as I progress and I purchase stronger weapons, they require more action points per special move. Regardless to say, using special moves now drain my action points incredibly to the point where it's worthless to even use them. If my action points went up as I progressed, I could understand the point of requiring more action points to use special moves, but now it's just useless to me.

That's not really the one problem you're having. The REAL problem is that you're buying inferior weapons. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS check the stats on your weapons before you buy them. Know what the stats mean. Learn to say "No, thank you" and force the weaponsmiths to come out with QUALITY weapons. A high max damage rating is pretty much useless when coupled with an equally high special move cost. Also, look at weapon speed and min damage. If your brand spanking new laser rifle for which you shelled out 20K does 15-298 damage, it means that half the time you're doing pathetic damage and half the time you're handing out death and destruction. And if the weapon speed is up around 9 sec, it means that you better pray that you don't hit for min damage when trying to pick off that plains hunter...

Hi All,
I am a returning player after the CU, and my question is: Do attributes stillt affect our character?
I mean....Do wookiees get more HP at start? Do Bothans have a higher recovery when their action is depleted? Do Mon Calamari still have an advantage over mind tasks as before?
I think they probably do, but before, one could see how much Mind, Willpower, Focus some species had, and now these stats seems hidden.....? Or am I wrong, and can every race recover at the same rate?
Any info would be appreciated!!!

Good luck finding out this one, I believe the race attributes are still in affect but i haven't seen any hard numbers on it. I know as a Mon Calamari my health is maxed at 2900 and my mind seems to regain pretty fast.

The only stat still visible on your character sheetis Health. Action/Mind give us a % display, and the three regen stats are nowhere to be found.
However, when the CU was on Testcenter, a few enterprising players combed through the client files and did find that there were stat modifiers for various species.
I have no idea if those are still accurate, though. All species have identical action/mind pools, but some have better / worse regen rates (Mon Cal has high mind regen, Bothan high action regen, etc). Health pools are all over the place.
edit for clickification....
