Created my first alias last night (thanks to those who have posted instruction on them) and got ir running without a hitch. Woke up this morning disconnected as expected due to the patch. When I logged in to the game and tried to /load alias I received 'Unable to load aliases'. I attempted to just run the alias I loaded last night but it was not found (I am assuming you have to load an alias each time you log on if you want to use it). I am just wondering why I cannot load the alias today. I am sure I tryped it in correctly as I tried it many times and checked my spelling.
Is anyone else having this problem. Could it be related to the patch?
Thanks for your help,
Mix

This is new to me. I'm assuming you put aliases in the alias.txt file then load it in the game?
That sounds VERY USEFUL! ![]()

Whenever you make new aliases you have to manually save them using the /save command. If you just type /save with no arguments it defaults to aliases.txt. You can also give it a filename parameter: /save myfile.txt
Aliases in aliases.txt will automatically be loaded when you launch the game, but if you stored them in a different file you have to use /load: /load myaliases.txt. Typing /load by itself will load them from the default file.

Hmm, I never used /save before and my aliases have always worked...

My bad -- save is the same as load -- you don't have to use /save unless you want it in a different file

has anyone ever come up with a solution to this? I used to be able to loas my alises perfectly, but now that I've installed SWG on a new system I can't load an alias from the main SWG directory no matter what I name it.
Has anyone else had this problem loading aliases?

i used to use a macro to load my aliases all the time. now i have to manually load them. is there a reason that my macro wont work?
remember to make sure that you type "/load aliases.txt" the whole thingy or it wont work.
