Thread: Char Trans System, please take a little look devs, this will benefit many players

Hi
let me take a minute to explain my situation, I am a UK player, i have been playing on an import copy of collectors edition for over a year now, would have joined day 1 but i was onholiday. I started on Intrepid as SWG recommend it to me. I have been playing pretty much every other day since, i love my char, he is perfect, not just the stats, but the bio, and the looks.
1 of the main goals of my char is to explore the galaxy, i regulary roleplay, so this is quite important.I spent ages exploring the galaxies points of intrest, and explain this when describing my toons roleplayed background. I have done many things and have written big char bio and a website in the past to detail my travels.
Now my problem, With JTL i want a lower ping, i currently get 170ms via a 3mbps connect which being UK>US is not too bad, but will give me a disadvantage in space. When i heard of the CTS is was soooo happy, but now i know i cannot move with badges i am sad. :-(
I did all the act badges, all the rebel themeparks etc, and + more recent race badges! but if i want to move to get a lower ping i will lose them all. I see these badges as PART of my char, not just something i am willing to throw away, esp as the ACT badges are no longer doable. these are part of my characters development, i would not mind paying $100 to get them.
Please devs can you say if this will be available in the future.?
Any1 got any sympathy for me and agree?, or do you think im justa whining fanboy, il await your replies and thanks for reading

Yes, you have my sympathy.
Alough 170ms isnot all that bad, I can understand why you would like to get that number lower. My own ping hovers around 30ms. which is nice. I really don't see how difficult it would be to transfer badges.

I was looking forward to the character transfer myself, but my main has almost 100 badges on her (96) and worked her butt off to get them..when I read you couldn't transfer those, that ended my dream of getting her to another server, I would gladly lose my money, items etc, but to lose her hard earned badges, no

what pisses me off is that I heard you can't transfer a jedi therefore changing a server to have 2 slots instead

all the normal proffessiosn are easy to grind.. so why pay 30 dollars to transfer normal skills?!
Jedi skills however... that's hard to get.. and that would be worth the 30 dollars

look... this transfer was put togeather at the last min. so it would seem like the devs are doing their jobs. the transfer was something that was wanted by many... (i personaly have about 10 friends who wish to join my guild on bria but dont want to do all the work again of making a new char) so basicly this was just a P.R. attempted and more inportantly, make more cash for sony. so once again were screwed over by sonys goal of making more cash vs making a quality product. they did this with the jedi revamp. the hole point of the revamp was so they could start their marketing campain with comercials saying stuff like... " have you ever wanted to be a jedi knight? now you can! play swg! its the best game ever!"
i say, give us a break and start fixing a broken game...
