Each week, I start a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. The idea is that I will post and tip and then you should post your owntips to be shared with other players.
Do you have a little known command you use all the time? A cool place to visit? A trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game?
Share it here.
To get things started:
If you change your Mouse Inertia to a setting between 3-4, you will get a snappier feel to gameplay. Here's how you can do it:
1. Press CTRL-O to open your "Options" window.
2. Press the "Controls" button on the left side of the window
3. You will see a slider titled, "Game Mouse Dead Zone Inertia" Fly your cursor over the slider and you will see a tool tip thatwill give you the exact number the mouse inertia is set to.
4. Click "Done"
Check out last week's tips

My favorite little known tip:
The /find command works on tons of things, just gotta know how
/find garage finds a parking garage near you
/find trainer:scout works to find a trainer near you....as far as i can tell this only works on starting professions(artisan, brawler, entertainer, etc )
/find terminal:mission finds a mission terminal near you

I still use /find to find most what ever I need. The yellow line that it displays you to get to your loctation is quite cool. Since I'm from Kansas it reminds me of the Yellow Brick Road.

What do you mean? Mouse inertia? snappy gameplay?
Mouse inertia is a setting that controls the way your camera moves.
When you set it to a setting between 3-4, it makes the controls nice and tight.

For all you commandos out there...(and FS grinders)
When unbuffed, don't stand within the blast radius of your grenades...or else, you'll get incapped and killed before your target

My tip for today...
The /find command is very helpful and I made a macro for several of them. Such as /find shuttle and /find terminal:mission. Then I keymapped those macro's to the keyboard so when I'm running missions, I can easily find the closest shuttle or mission terminal.

is this when you are in cursor mode or reticule mode ?
Personally i hate reticule mode and like to have the cursor free to click this, that and everything. I have played with this option on more than one ocasion, trying to get the right fell, but alas...

For new players or those without high combat skills, there is an easier way to get around on dangerous worlds. Use the natural highways used for centuries - rivers.
They are flat with no obstructions and no spawns in them. Set a waypoint so you know where to come ashore closest to your destination.

In addition to all the nice find commands.... use the below to clear the last find command.
/find clear
This is much easier than deleting them from your datapad.

My favorite (and the one I use the most) is generally /bo trans.
Saves me from having to walk alllllll the way across the shuttle platform to talk to the ticket guy after I buy my shuttle ticket. LOL
