I'm sorry but I couldn't even read all the way through it. I can appriciate your thoughts but I'm sorry to say some of them are a bit ridiculous. Go overt get the best armor for free. Good bye armorsmith. I'm never buying armor again. And then why stop there. We should get the best weapons for our profession too right. and the best food and spices (rebels only of course). All the rebel and imperial medic npc'swould buff and heal in the field. We'd be in good shape. Except there would be no reason for there to ever be a doctor, combat medic, weaponsmith, armorsmith, chef, tailer, etc. I suppose everyone would be running aroundwith onlycombat professions. Now that is star wars!

Your post is nothing but a copy of someone else's post? At least add some additional content so it is not a waste of our time. For all you know, we alse have already read this stuff.

first off the thread was started by me, as this is exactly the way jedi have been communicating with the DEVs and it seems to work. we collect all our ideas, discuss them (so not everything you read might be that reasonable, but it can be discussed). so plz add ur opinion to the thread.

well you know, I agree with you that getting the best armor for free sounds kinda unbalancing, but tbh, do you see anybody wearing stomrtrooper armor atm? there are other ways of course like making ur own equipment appear like a faction armor when U declare...
plz share ur opinion in the original thread.

This was not made by me and has more then one persons ideas in it.

Thats an interesting question, and when we think about it it becomes clear why this game doesnt feel like SW.
SW is not ponly about jedi or smugglers, its more importantly about the GCW.
First off, its about flyingspace ships and epic large scale battles in space.
- ok, we will get those, so all we have to do is being patient.
Second, which is a really important point, Star Wars is a war between rebels and the empire.
Now this is what we are missing in this game. Ok, you might say, that we have a war between rebels and imperials, but when U are honest, we dont have that. What we have is a war between two opposed factions.
Solutions:
Why don't these factions feel like what they are supposed to be.
1. Uniforms:
- the word uniform says it all, its about looking the same. now this is one of the most important reasons why this game doesnt feel like SW.
- when U go overt you have to wear the uniform of your faction. It's as simply as that. every time you go overt you should AUTOMATICALLY get a stormtrooper armour FOR FREE (or rebel marine armor) which you have to wear. the armor should be just as good as the best armor available. you can be sure military organisations properly equip their soldiers. when you go covert again, you will lose the armor again.
- its really important that the armor equals a state of the art armor, as nobody would wear them otherwise....shouldnt be a punishment fighting for your faction.
another possible solution:
- Just make it so that whatever we are wearing looks factional while we are overt, this makes things feel more like swg but doesnt take away from those who came to the fight prepared.
Ranks could be included in this process in a way that the higher your rank the more options you have to make your "OVERT ARMOR" look.
EX. A private imperial could only make his equipped wearables look like ST armor but a Colonel could get all the options Scout, Sand,Snow Trooper, Imperial Officer ect. (jedhel)

ok, this isnt as much of a problem, but you should at least be able to use the factions weapons.
3. Ranks:
- be able to use your rank as your title.
- receive better stuff as reward for fighting for your faction
4. Music:
- When doing faction pvp or missions, at least have the battle music change to 'imperial march' or rebel equivalent.
Its the music that makes the starwars feel IMO, subtle and relatively easy changes like this would transform this game! (wyx1)
(eg. I want to hear the Imperial March playing when I get scanned or when I walk into Bestine. When I walk into Anchorhead or Coronet I want to hear some Rebel music playing. Cities need to have music tracks to play. Like Mos Eisly could have its own track to set the mood.)
5. Faction Pets:
- The empire won by mass armies and brute force. I think that imperials should have that "Large army" feel. Give us our 3 faction pets back, keep the rebels at 1. Only allow us to use 1 ATST at a time. Maybe even 2 Darktroopers at a time. That would booster our numbers up a little. Make faction pets extremely cheap for the rebels though, and give them a strong tank like our ATST, but not as strong of course.
And for crying out loud, please let us heal are faction pets wounds. And if they are slayed, JUST LOSE VITALITY!!! Like other pets

6. More NPC action:
- NPC vehicles driving around here and there
- NPC Stormtroopers running into Anchorhead for a raid every now and then
- Stronger Stromtroopers and more of them
- NPC Rebels running in for raids every now and then (Zeon_Zaku)
- The raids should happen more often. I have yet to see a tusken raid in Bestine or a Stormtrooper raid in Ancorhead etc etc etc. We need more of these and they should happen very often.
- All cities should have NPC'c on mounts, in vehicles, begging, giving missions, recruiting for factions, selling goods, playing music, fighting with each other, drunk, in love and the list goes on and on. Give cities a real city feel.
- Static NPC's- The star wars characters should not be static. I want to see a group of Rebels raid Bestine lead by Han and Chewie. Or Vader and a squad of dark troopers hit Coronet. These npc's should be accompinied by a huge force. Im sorry but we should be able to impact the star wars story line. If Luke dies well guess what, the story has changed! After all the Developers have already changed the storyline with the introduction of hundreds of Jedi's. (TraceJelSadow)

- More factions- Hutt - Jawa - Valarian - Nym - Tusken - etc etc etc .This will allow people to fine tune there toon toward there true personnality. for ex. BH's could get missions from Jabba to hit a faction member of Lady Valarian. But the these factions should be secondary to the main 3- Rebel Imperial Nuetral. Let me be a Rebel/Jawa Faction member grrrrrrrr!! LOL (TraceJelSadow)
8. Loot:
- more loot, I want his shirt his pants that hat. I want loot to consist of thing that players cannot make, or build. I want a gun that looks ugly but shoots a neon green laser bolt and sounds like a rocket went off. Make these loots usable. Dont give me a gun that does 65 dmg thats stupid. That guy just hit me for 1,005 point and his gun does only 65 dmg. Humm wierd. (TraceJelSadow)

- Lotta good stuff on the list so far. How about if I add in the faction bases? They look cool, but there has to be more that could be done with them. How about a defense bonus to the appropriate faction defending them, much like a militia getting a defense bonus in a stronghold city? Being in proximity to a base of ones own faction alllowing someone to pull multiple faction pets? Faction bases coming with stations that improve the chances of repairing weapons and armor (they would have a technical department in them somewhere)? Since Sony wants crafted armor to be better than looted or reward armor, could the faction bases be used much like the crafting station in the Death Watch bunker, allowing Overt armorsmiths to craft faction armor? The quality of the armor could even depend on the size of the base, making it more worthwhile to purchase and defend the really big base. Even being able to add 'segments' to faction armor to bring its defenses up at a faction base. Special missions being available only at faction bases giving more faction oriented rewards.... 10. Most wanted lists:
- There should be a most wanted list of the top 100 rebel/imperial killers! It should be posted on terminals. If you are on that list BH from opposing factions can take a bounty on you. If the kill ya. They get the reward and you have been knocked off the list. Kinda like tip 21 in b-ball. Just another thing to add for content. This would be great. (TraceJelSadow)
11. Cut Scenes:
- How about Quest Cut Scenes? Possibly voice overs too? that isnt too much to ask is it? Every story telling game i have ever played has had Voice Overs *Aside from old school Mario * i want an Encounter with Darth Vader at emp's retreat, i want to be able to have a conversation with him and have him respond accordingly, with proper animations.... anyway it seems we are developing a game more then a revamp, the devs will prolly never listen to us (Bobbyhill69)
12. Difference between Rebels and Imperials and other faction advantages:
- No Imperial should have any item sliced
- your rank should mean something, at the moment there is no real incentive to climb the ladder
- Vehicles with weapons as a factional perk, this is a must to make ground battles fun
- big laser canons that can only be assembled on the battlegrounds by factional artisans, which are built by factional weaponsmiths
- Give high ranking officers a group of NPC soldiers to control
- when a Rebel is searched for contraban, he should be given the option to surrender, if taken up on the offer the player is arrested and imprisoned on Dath, until he is rescued or until he undeclares his loyalty to the rebellion (Hasun )
13. Powershifts:
- a war is going on and theres no way to tell how we are doing. Every planet or player city should have some way of letting you know who controls it and that should be able to change. (Hasun )
14. More use for all Professions in the GCW:
- Get artisans, armoursmiths,weaponsmiths and tailors involved by getting then to craft factional armour, weapons, vehicals and officers clothes (certain certs will be needed to wear and use these and of corse they would need to declare as we can't have rebels making Storm trooper armour)
- Give smugglers the abilty to disguise a groups tef (i.e smuggle) so they can get into places they shouldn't be
- Give Bounty Hunters player bounties on people who have a high negative factional points against a certain group (these will be canceled out on your death and unfortunatly you would suffer a demotion)
- Factional combat droids, built by a Factional droid engineer and controled by a certain rank
- What about bio engineers and creature handlers, what can they do, well they could bio engineer lvl 10 cu pa's for the rebels and dewbacks for the imperials for the creature handlers to train as mounts for the big epic battles I want to see (Hasun )

You want my ideas fine I'll give them...
1. What do i think is wrong with the GCW?
THE GCW IS WHY I QUIT BEFORE...
the problem is not enough content, not enough fighting, not enough Imperials to kill.
The Imperials are the underdogs right now...the Rebels are the underdogs even if this game isn't sopposed to be exactly like the movies. We need 40 ST's in each town and 15 AT-ST patroling the outskirts. We need dayily raid on the Rebel's Base (I know it is sopposed a secert but everyone knows about it. The devs need to make more Imperial NPC bases like 100 more. We don't need a revap we need a redo of the whole GCW. Now back to ideas to make the GCW better. These NPC bases should not be able to be turned to the Rebel side. We need places like the Imperial Detention Center on Talus where Imperials can go in, kill Rebels and take back the Center for the Empire, and then Rebels raid it again and take it over. We need NPC battlefields where there are no objectives there is just killing of both factions. There needs to be face offs of 20-30 npcs on both sides and overts can join in and there is no wait to get in and no bounderies to be found, you just go there wait for the npcs to spawn and wait for one side to attack. Everything on the Imperial side needs to be less expensive and everything on the Rebel side should be more expensive (this would also help the Imperials gain more players). The rebels need to have a tank or something that is strong but a bit weaker then the AT-ST. The AT-ST needs to be unnerfed, and we need the AT-AT that the devs said was going to be in the game soon in it now. I carry 10 sliced items and have never been chased by ST's for carrying them.
2. What about faction perks?
Faction perks...lets see...ah yes, lets start for the Imperials. The Weapons Imperials can get for faction perks need to be as strong as sliced weapons. Imperial NPC soldiers need to be cheaper (they have over 100 million soldiers not counting ST's for god's sake), and the AT-ST needs to be cheaper too (they have over 1 mil AT-ST too). The furniture needs to be cheaper though. The bases turrets and everything else can be at least lowered by about 5% or so. What if the devs are thinking "well that would just be unbalanced" well tuff luck in the movies it was unbalanced.
Now I'll start on the Rebels. The weapons need to be presliced by master smuggler standereds (same with imps.) but they need to cost about 5% more becasue the Rebels are low on materials. It's the same with NPC soldiers they need to be rasied 5% more tpp. The bases and turrets need to be 10% more too. I mean hoth put the Rebels back like 15 years of loan (at like 1 mil a month).
Now i will talk about both the Imperial and Rebel armor. The rebels had no armor. They had blast-protection vests and a Helmet thats it. Now hear me out. Those need to be the armor for the Rebels along with the other clothes on the begining of Ep IV. but they can be upgraded and made by BE's and the helemt and vest can be sliced by a smuggler. Now the ST armor should be given to every imp that joins the Empire. If this where real life the Imperials would have hundreds factories with thousands of ST armor stacked on top of each other in just one building. The ST armor need to meet pre-sliced (by a Master Smuggler) condition and can be made by a Armorsmith. Now the rebels should get some armor but not like they have now. The only NPC i see wearing that armor is the "Rebel Soldier." Rebels should get what the Spec ops NPC's wear which is Padded armor, BUT it should have less encumb then regular padded does and it's stats should be better. And the stats on the ST armor need to be better.

These are great ideas, I wish that some or all of them could be incorporated ingame, devs please look at some of these ideas as they really make sense!!!
