What is the formula to calculate how your pistol speed affects your rate of fire? Lets say I have a pistol speed of +100. What is the highest speed on a pistol that with my pistol speed of +100, I'll be able to shoot at a speed of 1.0?

I'm not real sure, but with most things, +10 gives you 1 point. So I think maybe +10 gives you .1 speed? I'd like to know too.

Geez guys, read the FAQ. That's what it's there for. The formula is in the FAQ.

Once you reach +100 pistol speed, does the speed of a pistol still matter? Will I fire a3.0 spdcombat pistol just as fast as a 1.4 spd scout blaster?

I had heard that it is 0.1 speed decrease on weapon per 10% from skill, so if this is true that 3.1 should fire at 2.1.

If instead math is right, that 3.1 should fire at 1.55, as a 100% speed increase halves the delay between shots.

It would be very easy to test this by picking something big and slow and firing with a slow cdef pistol, then firing with a fast cdef pistol and average your shots over a minute.

You are supposed to cap with any weapon at 1.0 speed, so pistoleer masters tend to not want speed spliced scout blasters.

It depends on what you're shooting usually. The scout blaster is usually preferred because it's fast, it does alot of dmg, and it has the least ham cost (which is the biggie).

Personally, I have a scout blaster, fwg5, and dx2 hotkeyed. Whenever I fight something, I do a quick /ex to find the vulnerabilities and then switch weapons accordingly. But when I'm just running around, I have my scout blaster equipped.

I just bought a new dx2 and it's.4 slower than my last one, but since my pistol speed skill mods are so high, I was just wondering if that .4 really mattered or not.

I don't think the 10 = -0.1 speed theory is true. I have +91 pistol speed and I can use special moves on a 2.1 speed gun, and shoot exactly once per second. I tested this with time stamped chat log over dozens of shots. Not even accounting for the delay introduced by the special move, I would only be shooting 5 times every 6 seconds if the theory were true.

hi, i was wondering if the +5 to pistol speed at master marksman made any significant difference to a master pistoleer, because if it doesnt, then it would free up a lot of skill points. if you know whether or not it does, could u please post, thanks.

At master pistoleer (nothing else, just pistoleer) how fast are you able to do the Stopping Shot, Fan Shot and Double Tapspecials? Is it one special per second?

All of my pistols have 2.0-2.2 speed except my stun pistol which has 3.7, so how fast would i be able to do specials with each? Thx.

At Master Pistoleer I shoot fanshot at the 1 sec cap. Stopping shot shoots every 2 sec.I don't know about double tap (haven't used it for awhile) but bodyshot3 is also at the cap. That is using a 2.5 speed gun.
