Right now I am pretty burned out and I can't force myself to play SWG at the given time. I had a great time though and I plan to come back on a later time. So how long will my house stay if I cancel my account. (Given there is enough money in it's maintaince pool)

They'd get bored as hell doing that after a while, and then I'd be through with having conversations for the rest of my life."

As long as you dont delete your character i think a few months (if the maintenance is there) I believ they do go through and clear inactive players every now and then but not sure what the time frame is.

Currently, your house will stand as long as there is maintenance in it. Pay it up for a year, it will stay for a year.

However, the devs are proposing a character wipe in October that will periodically scan the player database and remove structures and objects from the system that belong to people that haven't been active (logged in) in 6 months.

Hey, since I made a Star Wars Quake III mod 5 years ago, does that make me an SOE dev??

They are beginning a 6 month wipe - every toon 6 months or older is to be deleted this month sometime. (room for JTL) then a wipe occurs every month after that once your toon hits 6 months inactive it is wiped.

You can save your toon for another six months if you resubscribe for a monthbefore you get to that 6 month cut off.

So on month 5 you resubscribe for a month then cancel - your toon should be good for another 6 months.

somehow, i'm guessing they're only deleting the chars of people who quit their accounts, if you're still paying for your account, i dont think they can delete your stuff.

Exactly. If you have a paid up account, you're not in any danger of being wiped.

Thanks a bunch guys! I will come back soon then. In the meantime FFXI has my full attention. (Not too good but a nice diversion from SWG) Have fun and enjoy your stay. See ya in space cowboy!
