Thread: getting new account question

hey i am pondering about getting a second account. If i get it can i use the same launchpad that i use at the moment or do i also need a seperate computer for the seperate account. so overall i am quite confused on the matter cause will i just need the activation code on the second disc ?? HELP ME LOL

you can run your two accounts on the same computer but unless you reconfigure the game data you can only run one at a time.

you will NEED to buy a second copy of the game, you will use the same launch pad, but a diff username/password for each account, i don't think you'll need to re-install, but im not posative
you CAN run 2 accounts on the same computer, you just have to change some files and put in new ones, and turn down graphics and what not

you can use the same launchpad but you need to add in a special file for it too work.
open up notepad. write this in it exactly:
[SwgClient]
allowMultipleInstances=true
allowMultipleInstances=true
then save it as user.cfg (make sure it is a .cfg file and not a .txt file). then plop it in your main SWG folder.

if what your asking about is what if you have one with JTL and the other without, i've been wondering that too. i would assume you would be ok considering you wouldn't be able to use those files and you would be downloading some JTL files anyway for things that would show up on ground.

I just want to add that the statement about the user.cfg is correct but, it only allows one Launchpad to be open at a time. So, you have to actually enter into the game and then Alt-Tab out and start another Launchpad session for the other account. At least from my experience that's how it worked.
