All you have to do is talk to any scientist and get the fetch misson for it,it is also a scientist fetch mission that gets you the rare artifact. and of corse when you get the item you don't realy return it . i mean that would be just silly

What're you talking about? Which NPC? Where??? Because "any scientist" is NOT giving the cage...

Go to Mos Espa in the section with the narrow streets. Any of the NPC Scientists there.

You can also get rare artifacts from these guys, and I think something else but I can't remember.

there are a few scienists on tat,and bu the way you can get dark jedi and black sun medalions from criminal quests ,and they sell for up words of 100k.
