It has been brought to my attention that people's biggest problem is that you don't get paid if people are out of the area. the solution is simple, especially if you are in this for money:
everyone goes to each mission. you concentrate fire on the lair, which is what gets you paid, and jump on your bike and head to the next closest mission. you don't even have to stop and kill everything, just the lair.So...Basically what you just said, makes it not a solo group.
Why not just group with X number of friends and just go out and pummell missions together. Ends up being the same. lol

Yeah, so make a hunting group and do missions like the good ol' days. Yay! Now maybe my CM healing skills will come in handy again. Wait, I just dropped that. D'oh! On a separate note, playing with Carbineer and Bounty Hunter now I realize that I may have been a selfless person to use so many points on healing my buddies, but it's darned fun to play a more solid combat role!
I can't wait to put together some old fashioned groups with some friends this weekend. Those were the days.

no its not not being a solo group. u get 10 peeps who have elite combat profs in a group, every1 get 2 30k missions every time, yer al gonna finish yer missions in a reasonable amount of time, and u dont need to do them together. every1 makes same money as they used too, it sems obvious to me that it would work... any naysayers?
i think u made a very good point Mor-dan

Problem is that you still have to be within range of the mission to get the cash from someone else's mission....otherwise if your not, you don't get your portion of his mission...so it doesn't matter that 10 people in a group get 2 30k missions each....because you won't get your share unless you are near them.....and then I'm not sure you will get credits if you don't do any damage....not sure on that though....it's been too long since I've been in an actual hunting group....i'm a pure self-sufficient soloist......that's how I like it, and it's not for the credits or the xp....it's to maximize my time playing instead of wasting 30 minutes with slow pokes....most people can't keep up with me and the pace that I play the game (usually don't have time for a lot of chit chat...leave that for starports and social gatherings

Like a phoenix from the ashes, solo groups are re-born as a new business opportunity:
10 people are in a group. each of them pulls 2 missions worth 30k. how much does that equal?
30k * 10 * 2 = 600k. now divide 600k by 10. 600k / 10 = 60k. after all 10 people finish their missions, how much money did you make? looks like you made 60k to me. how much would you have made under the old system? lets see, this will be some tricky math here...
30k * 2 = 60k.
whoa... check that out. it came out the same! seriously, people, you're letting this go to your head. all you really need to do is take care of what people you allow in your solo group now, if money is what you are after. know who are you grouped with. if you are all the same efficientcy level, you are all going to make the same amount of money as you always did.
what i see here is a great new business opportunity. a leader who is known for keeping good groups together could make a fortune doing nothing but group management. you sit there, make sure each player is returning to pull two new missions in a timely manner, and watching your bank account to make sure everyone is actually completing their missions. in a group of 11, with one being a non-mission pulling manager, each person reports to you how much their missions were for. the group leader tallies it up (we'll say 30k each and a 600k total for easy math purposes) and starts a timer. when a member completes a mission everyone gets a system message that they just got paid. the leader pulls out his trsuty calculator, mulitplies 11 * xxxx, and crosses off the mission, since he has the payouts in front of him. also, whoever completed the mission sends a tell to the leader saying "one down" or if was your second mission "returning to base". people who cannot complete their missions in a timely manner get booted. if a person has to go AFK they are removed from the group and paid their % of what the group leader has collected from missions:
4 mission runs at an average of 60k worth of missions = 2.4mil (we'll call this 1hr of production for easy math)
2.4mil / 11 = 218,181 in the pocket of the leader (and all players) from all missions.
each player gets 50% (negotiable) of their share (21,818) of that total back (10,909).
the departing player made 230k total from 8 missions (out of a possible 240k). the leader, in this scenario, made 11k off the departing player. multiply this to having been everyone on a three hour set of buffs and you see each player made 690k out of a possible 720k, while the manager made 300k just keeping things in-line.
the money is still there, people. they didn't reduce inflow as much as you think they did, they just made it require a little more teamwork is all. to me, 12min is a timely manner. you should be able to fit 5 mission sets (10 total missions) into an hour if you are being diligent about your work. the manager has final say, which also means you can't be an a-hole to everyone or you will get kicked and banned from working for that manager. if you have been an a-hole since launch, it will be tough for you unless you start the group. as i said, all kinds of money making possibilities are now open. who is going to step up and take advantage? if ever there were a time the tag [Businessman] were fully applicable, this is it... good luck, entrepenuers.
