In short NPCs.

And basically the higher level the NPC the higher the AA or CA is likely to be.

Even Spice Fiends & Meatlumps will drop attachments but they will usually be like +1 or mabye of you are really lucky +2.

Mid level mobs such as jantas & Akuan will drop stuff more likely in the +3 to +6 type of range and if you want to go for the +25s then you are going to have to be killing top end mobs such as NightSister Elders.

But in short NPCs.

The 'boxes' you refer to are things like 'Mag Seal Containers' or chests etc that you find in caves or some POIs populated by NPCs. These are in my opiniopn a really bad way to go. Many of them are locked and as far as I understand smugglers that are supposed to be able to open them cannot. They only spawn loot inside them once every 75 mins at most and for the large part you will get useless junk like CDEFs etc...

Mid level NPCs can be found on many planets from mission terminals or by visiting POI caves. Try Dantooine, Lok, Yavin, Talus.

If you visit the NPC caves you might get to kill a bunch of NPCs and open some boxes, most likely though you will find the place empty or camped due to the slow spawn rates; so just finding terminal missions is propably your best bet.

for thebest NPCs you find them at Nighsister Stronghold, a POI.
