Does a character's ranged speed modifier affect the cooldown timers for ranged attacks? (ie sniper shot, advanced critical, etc.). I would think a higher speed would cause a reduced cooldown time, and if this is NOT the case, that makes ranged speed pretty well useless, no? I'm gonna test this once i get home from work, but i don't have enough time right now, and i thought i'd throw this out there just in case anybody knew, or was curious.
Again, if ranged speed doesn't have some kind of effect like this, then it serves no purpose except pretty DPS numbers on your gun for bragging about, since you'll be using specials, and at the same rate you were before.

yes it does, but you need alot of speed mods to see a real difference, just a +5 tape you wont see any drastic changes

yeah, i hear ya, i'm just putting together a suit of armor that i'm going to ADK, and i have a lot of nice speed attachments from bhing so we're talking more like +18 rifle, +15 carbine, maybe a few general ranged speed points as well. I just wanted to check on this first, as it's obviously a very expensive (and permanent) endeavor.

I have a speed-sliced scatter with a speed powerup. My modified speed with it is 0.76. With a haste buff you can visibly notice the dramatic change in the speed of the cooldown timers. It seems that Ican spam most any special as quickly as a default ranged shot.
