Thread: /addignore merchant droids?

Is there a way to /addignore merchant spam droids? I can't seem to find it and they are more annoying than regular players spamming to come buy their awesome loot.
If there is no way, don't you all think there should be? If I can ignore a real player I should be able to ignore their programmable pet, too.

And you think that players who has used the skillpoints for Advertising 4, shouldn't be allowed to advertise?

No, I think that if I am allowed to /addignore players, I should be able to /addignore their annoying spam bots also. How is ignoring one different than the other?

One is a skill point cost and the other is a something that anyone can do. The Barker Droids can be considered the same as a Vendor that is able to bark.

I suppose if it is a skill point cost ability then it's not so bad. I was under the impression that anyone could purchase and use a droid like that.
Istill think they are annoying.

Then I think they should be rescirted to you a certain number of droids in an area. Sometimes you can come across 10 or more droids crowded around the starport and it creates more spam then players do. Cant ignore um, cant do anything but move on.

Best way to do it, is you have to reignore the droid everytime the message is changed or they reset the droid.
Yes they have the right to advertise, but if I want to ignore it, I obivosly dont want to hear the advertisement. If I am hanging out in the city, after awhile it gets annoying and I should be able to ignore it.
Just make it so you can ignore it, but if the merchant changes the message or stores and recalls the droid, I have to reignore it if I like.

NOt necro posting....but I would like to see some solution to this......if addignore player.....we will get ignored their venders and droids....
Or is it in the coding of the game that venders and barker droids are considered NPC's and we can not ignore them
