Hi,
I've been playing for some time now and hunting in groups is not necessarily my main objective and yet I do like to join a group every once in a while. I would also like more information about successful hunts. I'm a level 56 and I'm having a bit of a hard time getting invited to groups that are looking for level 80 combat players. I can relate to the lower combat rated players that are trying to get their XP up and don't get invited so my plan is to solicit players with lower than a 56 rating, form a group and take them hunting. I'm at max XP for combat in my profession, I just think it would be fun to lead a group that needs the XP. So here's my point:
I can not find a good group hunting guide that's really up to date, the last one I found was dated 2003, but we all know how many changes there have been since then. If you have been leader of group hunts that were successful, I sure would appreciate some input on the following:
choosing Missions: When you're in a group and you chose a Mission from the Mission Terminal, will the mission difficulty be based on the highest combat rated player in the group or on the individual group member rating?
Waypoints: Do you use the On Screen Waypoint Indicator option to see where the next nearest group mission is? Do you use the follow command to stay close to a group member?
Battle: Is it a good idea to only attack the target that the Group Leader ( with the highest combat rating ) is fighting and
let him/her determine the next target?
let him/her determine the next target?
Lair: Do you usually wait until all surrounding entities are killed before attacking the lair? And if the attack results in additional spawning, does everyone stop attacking the lair and concentrate on killing the spawn before hitting the lair again?
These are just some of my questions, if you have any tips, please feel free to add them to this post if you like.
Thanks
