Thread: The New Jedi
Nobody knows and anyone who says they do is talking from their rectum.
I would expect MAYBE to start hearing tiny hints after the next publish, but it could be the one after that before you hear anything at all.
That being said....
I would love to have a thread of "Where are they now" for all of the people who jumped when the DEVs first mentioned that things would be changing.
You know, the ones who changed their profile to things like "First Holocron: Master Dancer ..who cares it is a quest now , holocrons are useless" and things similar, all of the ones who had a fire sale on holocrons for low low low prices.
Seeing as how it is a minimum of two more months before anything comes out, there is still plenty of time to grind away.
being able to toggle a faster than burst run- ok gimped more
cloak....yeah unique no other prof has it, we're extremly gimped
I'm not really feeling like listing out all the skills... Those people that still say we are equal to normal professions have no clue what they are talking about. The clones got hurt, the rest of us just got scratched. Tsk Tsk.
Yeah ok, we require all our pools for most of our actions....
what was that?
oh yeah, Jedi is supposed to be "hard mode"
not "uber mode"
We can have the skillsets from a dozen different profs that a normal prof wouldn't have the SP for. The skill comes in managing it. The last FOTM was an "uber" templete that had no skill, majority of jedi were flocking to it, and it got nurfed to the ground, hurting even just the dabblers. Way to go

heal just as well as a doc, with less than half the SP invested, ok we're gimped
In my experience, players which possess the doc 4xxx skill have equivilent, if not more efficient, healing ability than a Force Healer 4xxx.
Investment for non-Jedi is63 SP. Jedi invest 28 SP.Although this is a difference of 35 SP, the doctor also recieves useful medic skills such as drag, stabalise, health buffs and wound healing. Also, the ability to wear battle armor and a marginal bonus to defence is included. This in my opinion compensates for those skill points.

FR1 is not as fast as many believe, and can be easily chased down by a BH. A Jedi using FR2 suffers a 99% damage penalty, and FR3 is a mastery skill.

Cloak is not completely unique since riflemen have a similar ability. Although it is more flexible in that an invisible rifleman can attack, its usefulness and fun factor is far below that of cloak. However, cloak currently suffers many bugs and is unique to an unpopular, currently severely broken, discipline.

Assuming by 'clones' you are referring to FOTMs and / or Master Defenders as being the most common templates; theyhave largely avoided the nerf bat. Non-defender templates have been becoming progressivly weaker since the combat upgrade andmany of the 'unconventional' templates will become unfeasable because of the downgrades, and the weak templates are yet to be fixed.
Yeah ok, we require all our pools for most of our actions....
Wouldn't be a problem if our weapons had equal efficiency to our non-Jedi counterparts, and our abilities did not comsumemore action than their equivilents.
TEST:a 100 SAC saber, and a 100 SAC rifle. ranged attack will likely hit2 % of the action pool. saber hit however, will consumeover 5% plus a little force too.

Pretty much how it is now, I wanted Jedi to be hard, but nobody wants to feel griefed by the Devs constantly hitting Jedi with the nerf bat.
not "uber mode"
That was how it was marketed, and how it is supposed to be. Risk & Effort vs Reward. Is it your opinion that Jedi is high risk, really difficult, but not worth the reward?

The FOTMs are stronger than ever. It is my feeling that non-FOTMs werethe ones gettinghurt recently.
