Hi all. I'd have rathered to spare you this question, as I'm sure it's been explained already, but the forum search is broken...again.

Can anyone explain or point me to the thread that explains what rooting and snaring is? I'm assuming it simply means you're keeping the target in one spot, but as I shoot at targets with my respecced MBH, I'll see -Snared- come up every so often.

After 2 years of playing SWG the old school way, I'm still trying to figure out the Post-CU SWG. Any help would be appreciated! :-)

See Rooted and Snared at SWG Wiki.

The -Snared- you're seeing is a visual indication that a Snared effect has just worn off on your target. This is a simple warning to you so you know to start moving again (if you're kiting), or to apply another Snare or Root if you want to keep the target in place.
