Thread: how do i log in two accounts on one computer
2) Paste that file into the same folder, and it will say "copy of whatever.cfg file".
3) Rename that file to "user.cfg"
4) Right click and open it using Notepad or Open Notepad and drag the file into Notepad.
5) Delete ALL that is in there and copy/paste this in:
[SwgClient]
allowMultipleInstances=true
Wait for first instance of SWG to load, alt-tab out if not in windowed mode, then start another instance of launchpad, log in and go.

The easiest way to accomplish this is using windows xp is to simply log on as a 2nd user on your computer.
Couple of caveats -
Seems to work better when one of the windows accountshas a password.
Don't try to shuttle on both accounts at once - the load time is far greater than if you do them sequentially.

this is by far the slower way to run 2 swg clients. the best way is the 1 mentioned above where you create a new .cfg file with text listed in the post.
With a little practice you can be seen having a conversation with yourself :-).
Oh and as a sort of in game thing, if you get one toon with a faster speeder and one with a slower, you can easily enough follow yourself around. /follow between two characters doesn't seem to work perfectly if both speeders are the same speed as one poor bugger gets left behind.

If you can, in your SWG options from launchpad run SWG in a borderless window mode (and set the resolution the same as your desktop). It will take up your whole desktop but you'll be able to alt + tab between characters.

The 2-person speeders work well for this

I just did it not 5 minutes ago.
EDIT:
I should clarify how I did this.
I use the USER.CFG file trick. I run both clients at 1024x768 full screen, and can alt-tab between the 2 rather quickly without problems. I did end up using the multi-passenger vehicle thing this time as well, to transport both of myself to and from a couple houses

Please pm me or post the trick here.
i had it set up since beta but my computer died in the recent crash freeze up's and had to replace two hard drives and the DVD drive.
Needless to say i forgot how to set it up.
