I recently started a new character on starsider, and im wonder if i go join a lvl 80 group and shoot lvl 80 mobs, will i get the advanced xp they do, or will it be like attacking lesser mobs and only get 1 or no xp?

If you join a CL 80 group and kill CL 80 critters, you'll get CL 80 xp. You only have to get in one hit or (if you're going for medical xp) do one heal per kill to get the full reward. If you're a lot lower than the group, you may hit your xp cap really fast, so that may be one thing to watch out for. It's probably best to group with someone who has the skills you want to learn so they can train you in the field.

If you are (say) CL 30, join a CL 80 group and kill CL 30 critters, you'll get 1 xp.

You don't get cl80 xp in a group if you aren't cl80 yourself. At least I didn't and all I know didn't as well. So if you group with one cl80 and you are cl10, for example you don't get the 7500 from a picket as he does.

thats true because int he new system XP is on a multiplier... every creature gives the exact same amount of XP but depending on your level you get a lot more because it is multiplied so you get the 7500 that you do when you max level... lower levels dont have a high multiplier on the xp yet

But i will get more xp than the stupid kreetle and ryl mission on tat right?

I can tell you what I saw last night on eclipse (june 21, 2005). I have a level 6 character (marksman 3333, novice brawler). I got lucky and joined a group out of the dant mo, highest members were level 80, one a TK master, one a master pistoleer. We were fighting level 78-80 creatures. I was getting experience from bols in the range of 550-680. Yes, you get all your experience from only hitting once, but this is not the experience a level 80 character gets! I was hoping for that. Level 80 characters get 5-6 K per creature (I have a level 80 TKM/swords on corbantis). Joining a group is still worthwhile (the scout xp does come much faster from killing these higher level creatures), but for your scenario, (similar to mine), you won't get the level 80 experience amounts at the lowest character levels.

Player's combat level vs con = xp

If you solo a white con at lvl 6, then if you group with a level 80 and kill a lvl 80 white con you will net the same xp ( + group bonus/xp buff )
