I went on TC earlier, and noticed this, and thought maybe it was a new feature. Then I logged onto Chilastra, and there it was, staring at me from the bottom left of my screen. My radar has THREE co-ordinate counters on there. One shows the x-axis on the map. One shows the y-axis on the map. Nothing new there. But the middle one shows the z-axis...up and down.
Not only is this cool, but it could help with a whole lot of things. There's this idea of climbing that people have had. Before, you crawled up steep slopes...that was as close to climbing as you got. But now, there's an extra axis...you can actually go UP, rather than just forwards reeeeeally slowly. Aiming up or down could have advantages and disadvantages. There's even the posibility of us (as in, the players) moving in three dimensions...are Airspeeders heading our way?
Sorry...I'm hyped up. 3D is cool...

I believe it's for JtL. The Z-axis is necessary for coordinates in space, no need on the ground. And I don't think there will be any Airspeeders anytime soon (probably never

Technically speaking, the y-axis is the up/down axis. It's always been in the game, it was just never displayed because it wasn't needed. Now they need it

I suppose.
But...now I can give the co-ordinates to my house, plus meters above sea-level! Ok, so the "sea" is the Dune Sea, but still...
Hmm...I wonder if the Dune Sea IS sea level...I feel an expedition coming on...

You'll be able to find the highest point in SWG...
Make a city called New Denver if it's a buildable area

As far as I remember the game was always 3D, I could be wrong though lol
But I doubt we will get more climbing/flying interaction anytime soon. I'd be happy if I could just walk over that really small rock in the desert, but not up that 89° hill.
