You know when you open the swg logo and it comes up with the box with the logo and it says "scanning files" or whatever, mine does that fine, but then it starts downloading something about disabling stuff and lots of wierd things.Then about half way through, it freezes and I can't get it. It is the exact same with Test Center and JTL Beta. WHAT THE HELLIS GOING ON!?

It's a problem with the SOE patcher in general. I get the same thing. I'm only guessing but I think the patch server (which is a web server) just hangs on a new connection sometimes because it's usually right at the start of a file. If a file starts downloading then it usually gets all of it.

I tend to keep killing it off and restarting.

compatability

make sure "Turn off advanced text services for this program" is checked
