Not to complain, but is anybody else getting alot more lag since the new patch? I mean it takes me a good 5 seconds or so to say something. If anyone has any good solutions, im open to hear them. Thanks.

Yep, i didnt notice it so much when i was running 3-6 FPS because of the new patch (btw i have a fix for nvidia users) However now that i have fixed that, i am getting this very annoying 5 second lag just like yourself. It seems to be server side because everyone in my guild gets it to. Im thinkin SOE has a big problem on their hands.

I have been having the same problem, it seems to be in the cities and in area's where there is a lot of trees. Also, many of the trees and plants are appearing as a digitized lime green color. I was seeing the same thing while running around in SpaceBeta and TC-Bria... I even tried adjusting my settings for terrain and had no luck fixing the coloring, or the lag. These digitzed trees seem to be causing the lag to me...

Check some of the latest posts by Tiggs, this is not a bug but the latest patch modified some of the graphics settings, setting them back will resolve this problem. Look for something about bloom in the Dev Tracker

Lag city...
Go over to the Tech Support Forum, they're screaming about it over there.
No fix yet but the problem is across the board. People running top spec machines are having the same issues. Graphics cards are not the issue. Some have said that disabling the "bloom" in the graphics option may help. But most are left with question marks.

Yup graphically things seem to have been changed behind the scenes to improve things, I'll try and explain what I mean with an example....
Scenario = driving swoop bike into Coronet.
Before publish 11 (part I): Hit city border & everything stops for 2 secs, drive a couple of hundred metres closer & everything stops for 2 secs, Hit viewing range for all the players and their spam and everything stops for about 10 secs as my poor old pc updates everything then I pack my swoop and head on my way.
After publish 11 (part I): Can ride straight up to the entrance of Coronet Starport maybe suffering a couple of half second jitters but 80% of what is around me is not drawn. I can carry on and wizz to the other end of Coronet in much the same fashion. Stop & try to dismount bike/interact with anything I will have to wait 10 secs for the poor pc to catch up and draw/load everything.
So it would seem the system is now allowing you to travel through 'built up' areas with less stress on the processor but you are still gonna have to load everything once you stop to interact with the environment.
I like this generally as my pc is in serious need of an upgrade & this takes a load off it's already troubled heart but yes it also means I hardly see any structures/mobs unless I am walking and chat has a delay.
Conclusion: It's time to upgrade our pc's guys - but in the mean time they could maybe remove chat from the loop, the delay caused me to upset a slicer last night as he thought I was some kinda retard who couldn't converse with him properly lol.

I don't have a reason to think this is related to the hardware on your aging PC. People running high speed Internet, top Pentium 4 processors, graphics card and even 2 MB of ram are having the same issue. This is content related.
