Thread: Please be careful and REFUSE receiving any large sums of money/credits from anyone.

A credit dupe has surfaced. We are aware of it, and have put a solution in place.
We know who was involved in this credit counterfeiting - - We log everyone's financial transactions, including WHO AND WHERE THE MONEY IS TRANSFERRED TO.
Please be careful and REFUSE receiving any large sums of money/credits from anyone.
We are suspending the accounts of these players and banning anyone who has participated in this "money dupe", which includes transferring or receiving of funds/credits.
perhaps some one could explain how to do this?

They should also mention that once you do follow this procedure, you will very likely be banned.
At least a dozen people have been banned on Kettemoor--guild leaders, crafters, merchants--for simply having a vendor up or walking near enough to a duper to get a /tip from them. One guy was tipping millions of credits to people in the starport, and since there's no way to refuse a tip, many of these accounts have been banned.
They followed the procedure exactly as described, and were banned.

Submit a CSR ticket if you get any major /tip's, and don't accept trades with lots of money.

If some of the posts on the boards are to be belived then docs are being banned for reciveing tips for buffs, not sure what to think myself.
The community needs a response from the devs.

This is not a game guide, however the community should understand that there were a few people affected by this and those that were not involved are making a bigger issue out of it than there is. If you or someone you know were banned due to this then contact live support or email [email protected] if they are innocient the situation will be fixed.
