Thread: Looking for advice on getting clothing attachments (+experimentation)

I want to get some Chef, Weaponsmith, and Armorsmith experimentation attachments for our guild crafters. I don't have the template to solo elders, so I was wondering what anyone could recommend for some fun grinding?

Thanks, any advice on which NPCs are best for these types of drops. For example, I've killed Aukuans and they give nice loot, but mainly armor attachments vs clothing attachments...

In my experiences, A'akuans have never dropped clothing attachments and afaik, experimentation SEAs only come in CA form. Lord Nyax drops some of the best clothing attachments for all the easier he is to defeat (note: don't take this the wrong way, Nyax is still hard as hell to kill, but he is a walk in the park compared to NS Elders) - I've seen him drop up to +18 attachments. The borgle cave drops many good AAs and CAs if you can manage to get there when they are spawned, chances are you'll have to wake up at server restart and burst run down there to get first pick because there will likely be someone else racing you for the same. Other than those, Rebel NPCs drop clothing attachments sometimes, I've gotten a +2 medicine experimentation from a Surface Marshall before.

Axkva Min is the Nightsister Queen, located at the bottom of the cave portion of the Nightsister Stronghold. She is probably the single toughest mob to kill in the game, having around 400k HAM and approximately the same resists as an Elder, except for the fact that when she is first attacked, she spawns 6 Nightsister Protectors around her for help. I would venture a guess andsay she is camped at server reset on most servers.

IVe got some stuff that ive looted that i could drop off to ya.... send me a /tell MrInfinite Ill prolly be on about 7pm PST. Im sure its not much but at least its somthing

Where are these two places located?
Lord Nyax spawns at the Lord Nyax Cult POI about 4km away from Coronet in the middle of Corellia. He is on approximately a 3 hour timer, has about 60k HAM and medium armor from what I can recall. The last time I fought him, as a Master Pikeman, I was wearing full composite and he was still beating me, so I popped two double buff vercupti and he was STILL hitting me hard enough to force me to heal myself.
The Borgle Bat Cave is on Rori, about 3km from the Rebel Military Outpost. The attachments come from the two debris piles at the very bottom, they are now on a 10 hour spawn timer to the minute. It used to be a half hour spawn timer, but it was often camped as a result by more than one person, many times by people using third party clickers that would go to sleep and wake up with an inventory full of sweet attachments. You can still get high quality SEAs(friend of mine got weapon experimentation+9)from the piles, just less often.

Lord Nyax is a carbineer that uses an elite carbine, He is the only npc that will not switch weapons for melee. If you have ever seen a caerbineer in action you know tehy can be nasty. Hes still fairly easy though a good psg and comp armor and your set. Oh and wouldnt recomend going there as a pikeman, he has high kinetic resists and its to easy to get ks'ed.

Yeah, I figured that out when I started engaging him. I ended up killing him by continually sticking mind fire and poison DoTs on him. And all I got from him that one time was cryoban grenades. 
But yeah, seriously, come prepared with some energy resist composite if you don't want to be kicked down hard. And also be prepared to sit and wait for him to spawn, you'd have to be extremely lucky to get down there and have Nyax be there waiting. I remember recently... maybe it's still going on... there was a camper on Flurry who had up to 3-4 of his Rifleman/Swordsmen alts down there camping every Nyax spawn of the day and was then selling all of the attachments on the trade forums for millions. Except the people of Flurry caught on and boycotted his auctions to the point where people refused tobid.

Last time a couple of my guildmates went down there he used advanced strafe, so his class appear to be random between rifleman/carbineer
