This smells rotten to me. I have to wait at least 6 phases to make jedi ??? So even if I have the necesary skills and mastered close to all my holos, I'll still have to wait till my desired phase comes around ???
Also I dont understand how this works. I think in laymen terms it goes like this (please make corrections)
1.) So if crafting phase is first, I must wait till next one hoping its combat.
2.) Then work on quest to unlock it from that npc. Once unlocked I have access to 16 boxes under that skill (combat). Somewhere after I complete 24 boxes (unsure what) I get novice padawan and access to my 2nd slot.
This is where I get confused...
first off how many skill points are each box ??? I heard 1 each, but not sure.
Also, I heard I need 24 skill boxes to complete this series of events to become a novice padawan, is this true ?
Any idea how long these phases are ? Ive waited a year for my jedi, gonna be pissed if I hear 3 months per shift or something.
Once I make padawan, are these skill choices kept or dumped ? In other words, if I pick healing stuff then later realize I should have gone for reflexes can I go back or is this just a grind till padawan and doesnt matter ?
Finally, can I just get 16 boxes in combat and 8 in healing and be done with it, or do I need to do all the quests for all npc ? Doesnt make sense to me how its 6 phases before I can complete it.
I hope someone can answer these as nobody I know has a clue on this.

Let's see...
First, it seems to me every type of quest is available at every phase. Combat, crafting, medical, and reflex quests are available at all 4 phases. It's just that at each phase you can unlock a different branch.
Second, it is 1 skill point per box, novice and master boxes are 0.
Third, yes after 24 boxes, you become a novice padawan and unlock your second character, according to everything I've seen.
Fourth, the phases on live are either 3 weeks, 4 weeks, or 9 weeks. I'm sorry my info is so vague, but I've heard all of those, although I believe it was JustG that said 3 weeks per phase.
Fifth, from what I've read on the Jedi boards, these skills are kept and become useless to you. They are considered novice skills that you no longer need, but they are the price you pay of you want to continue as a Jedi. And you cannot drop these skills without dropping Jedi. In fact, you may not be able to drop them at all, though please don't quote me on that. I seem to recall hearing that last bit but I'm not completely sure. I AM sure about the rest of it though.
Finally, the way I understand it is 24 boxes and you're done, and it's up to you which boxes, though novice and master don't count. Unless I am mistaken, you can take 24 of the easiest boxes (whatever that means) and get your Padawan.
Hope I was at least some help!

So say I was a crafter a looooonnnng time ago, it might be adviseable to at least spend those maxed out xp on a box or two as 1.) its easysince I have tons of xp saved and 2.) wont gimp my toon in the long run ??
I just dont want to discover later there was some move I should have picked up under reflexes to make myself powerful for PvE, but am screwed because I took enhanced crafting 1 even though I have no intention of using my toon for crafting.
