1. Nope, you have to drop all skills that are dependent on the base profession, thus you would have to drop Doc to drop any medic whatsoever.

2. Same deal as #1

3. No way to get more SP's, we are all stuck with 250.

4. Not one word about this has been mentioned as being planned.

And for the record, yes even 275 skill points would help out a lot with being self sufficient. But remember all MMO's want people to be interacting and needing other people, that's what keeps people in an MMO.

Questions

1.Can i drop Master Medic and still be a Doc? No, you cannot drop Master Medic and still be a Doctor. You must give up all your Doc skills before u can drop any Medic.

2.Can i give up Master Marksmen and become a Bounty hunter with exploration 4? Same situation as Question 1. You cannot do this.

3.Is there a way to get more skill points? No, there is no way. This is the basic design of the game

4.Is there any plans to add more skill points to the game? No, they do not plan to do this at this time.

The best you can do is Master BH and get some medic. You can do something like Master BH, Master Pistoleer, and have medic 0040. This is an example of course. If you need more help, download Kodan's SWG calculator at www.bloodfin.org

My question is: "Why the love affair with the LLC?"

LOL -Cos its a GREAT GUN! better then any carbine!

Anyway i had this idea!

Master Medic

Master Marksmen

Scout 4,0,0,0

Doctor 3,0,4,4

BH 0,0,0,4

Is this a good idea

PRO

1.I will be GREAT with a LLC

2.I will be self sufficent as i can always heal myself and Buff myself! No need 4 a Master Doc around!

CON

I want 2 be able to Revive players so i could have DOC 0,4,3,4 But wouldn't that affect my healing skill as my knowlegde is 3?

I cannot hold the rank of Master DOC anymore!

If you really want to see if you'll have enough skill points for a proffesion, go to

http://www.bloodfin.org/modules/mydownloads/

and download the proffesion calculator. It's quite handy when trying to make yourself a nice template.

You're at the point in your SWG "career" where you need to start making some potentiallytough choices.

One choice, if you have the funds available, is to buy a second copy of the game and start a second character on the same sever. That character can build up the support skills to augment your main character. I have the luxury of two accounts, my second being a Master Artisan/Master Doc to support my main who is a Master Rifleman/TKM. Between the two, I'm fairly autonomous and able to do a great number of things without outside help. This is handy for those times when you can't find a doc and want some buffs to go after the harder critters. Also, having a Master Artisan is nice simply to be able to whip up "throwaway" vehicles so mymain charcan have an extra deed or two on him for those times when something decides to eat one.

If that's not an option for you, you really have to sit down and decide which combination of skills will be best for you. Even if I didn't have my Doc available, I'd more than likely still be using the same template I have right now on my main. I'm about 95% PvE oriented, only PvP if I happen to have a TEF for whatever reason and need to defend myself (until I die ) With my combat skills I can easily run one mission and have funds available for at least one, if not two sets of buffs. With credits so readily available in the game, it's actually humorous to see people complaining about a 15k price tag for a MD buff. For the love of (insert your favorite deity here,) anyone with Master Marksmancan afford a set of buffs after a few *unbuffed* missions. It's not rocket science -- you just have to be willing to work for your perqs. (<-- not a typo - look it up! LOL)

Anyway, you basically just have to sit down and decide what skills are most important to you and make your choices from there. There comes a point where you have to start making certain sacrifices based on your wants and needs. It becomes easier over time, but can be a bit frustrating at first. Stick with it, learn your template's strengths and weaknesses, and plan accordingly.

I've been a doc in some form for 7 months now. I'm sure you'd agree that doctor is one of the best professions in the game. That said I do understand your hesitation to drop from MD to a lower powered doc. Here's my opinion based on experience.

I got incredebly frustrated 4 months ago with my lack of Skill points due to being a master doctor and a master fencer. I decided to make some changes which would allow me to be a tad better.

I dropped to 4-4-4-0 Doc. This allows me to do everything as a doctor except for crafting which I decided I didn't want to do anymore.

My buffs with bivoli are 2300-2400 power (2500 with bivoli in med center cities)

I was able to put my extra skill points into TKA defense which helped me a little bit at the time.

There's really two questions for you to ask yourself:

1) Can you live without 2500 buffing power?

2) Can you live without crafting?

If yes, then you should drop master doctor. MD is a great title, and I know it's hard to give up. But obviously youy're a little frustrated with your skill points atm. Look at it this way - if you drop some doc boxes and you don't like the results, you can always get the boxes back and you're back to where you were.

I did this recently when I flirted with using my extra skill points by putting them into CM. I had to drop one box (Cure disease) to do it. It didn't take me long to miss this ability!

Anyway,I found CM kinda useful, sadly my exploration into the evil world of force sensitivity has forced me to drop CM Thus I have regained my cure disease box and I'm quite happy again being a 4-4-4-0 doctor.

keep in mind at minimum to buff yourself with 90 and under buff packs you need 0-2-4-0 doctor. Personally I cannot live without 4-4-4-0 doc.

It's up to you if you want to flirt with Bounty hunter. Personally I think you're wasting your time. As some have already said, the LLC isn't that great of a weapon and no matter what you do in BH you don't have enough Skill points to do much very effectively.

If you want to be effective in combat you need to master a combat proffession in addition to some doc skills. for example, I've done TKA, Fencer, Rifleman, Pistoleer. Most elite combat proffs aren't much fun unless you master them, then you become a decent threat in most PVE situations.

Also, as I've said, if you master another profession and drop some boxes in Doctor, you will have a bunch of free skill points to use on something else. This is a great luxery and totally depends on what you value in terms of where you put them. You could swing all the way from some Artisan (have a vender) to picking up a defensive line in an elite proff.

Think about it, but I strongly suggest you try the route I've tried. It's a much better way then what you're considering.

Good luck!
