Thread: Capping your Exp, Making cash, and Sologrouping. A 12 Step Program!

This is NOT the only way to do it. (Do what you want! This is just working for me!)

This is NOT the fastest way to gain exp. (Geno caves, etc are just as viable to gain exp)

This is NOT the funniest way to play. (Solo grouping is a means to an end. I make gobs of cash, plenty of exp, and every now and then they drop sweet loot.)

This is only my opinion, and this is what I do for at least one buff session everytime I play SWG. Sure there's "better" or "faster" ways of capping your exp and such but heck, I'm stuck in this pattern.

Capping your Exp, Making cash, and Sologrouping.

A 12 Step Program

  1. Go to Corellia and get Entertainer buffs, and Doctor buffs.

  2. Go to Dantooine Mining Outpost look for someone spamming, "Sologroup, PST "Whoever" for invite"

  3. Send them a tell they invite you to the group.

  4. Wait till the group has 7 or more people in it.

  5. Take the shuttle to an "Improved Job Market" city on Dantooine. (I often just take a flight to Dathomir and smack Rancors around. Little more cash and changes things up a little...)

  6. Go to the mission terminal and take Janta/Mokk missions for around 33,000 creditsin the same direction.

  7. Get on your vehicle, drive to the first waypoint.

  8. /dismount

  9. Target the lair and spam /unarmedSpinAttack2 till everything is dead.

  10. /loot the 4-5 corpses

  11. Go get 2 more missions.

  12. Go to Dathomir and cash in your capped exp, rinse and repeat.

I know no fear, but rather I instil it in my enemies. I am the destroyer of worlds.
I know the power of the Dark Side. I am the fire of hate.

I have a few question on you methods here.... Hope you don't mind.

If you are in a "Solo" group, do you receive the mission payout in full? Or, is it split with the group? You method says nothing of disbaning from the group.

No problemo, here's what you need to do. Be at least 64 meters away from anyone else in the sologroup and you will get the full payout. You do not need to even stay on the same planet as the group to get the benefits of higher missions and payouts.

Usually I get into a group on Dantooine, fly to Dathomir and grind till my buffs wear off. This way I can stay close to the Village.

Cool thing about sologrouping is you can talk to people you normally would never meet. Groupchat can be fun, but a lot of people are just "in the zone" so don't converse much.

Also a lot of people just get in the group and switch to guildchat.

If you are near the rest of your group (I have no idea how near you have to be) then you will get some of their payments and they will get some of yours

Also, usually if you're in a sologroup and someone else gets a share of your payout they usually are willing to tip it to you. Now release, in one buff session you can easily clear 500k, does 12k really matter at that point? Often they'll say.. "Ooops, got some of your cash" or "Whose mission did I just get payout from?"

I let that stuff go by, when I'm out making cash/exp it's no skin off my nose to lose half of 1 missions payout. Here's an example of when I run missions on Dantooine (Ahazi)

I get buffed and join a group then fly to Obsidian city because it has an improved Job Market. using my Swoop and getting 2 missions in the same direction (lets say 1 mission north, one mission NorthEast) both missions are around 1000 meters away from the mission terminal. It takes me a total of 10-15 minutes to run both missions.

In that 10-15 minutes I've made around 20k unarmed exp, 2000 combat exp and around 60-65k in cash. Now a buff session lasts about 3 hours. Do the math and you have made alot of exp and money in that one session.

Personally, I will "grind" for one buff session only every time I get online. This way I get to cap my exp and make close to a million credits every time I login. After that I go have fun! Thats right fun!

You still make steady progress on your FS skill exp, you have money to through around, and you don't feel like the game has become a second job.

I use my money to buy stuff to decorate my PA hall, buy clothes/armour/buff packs, or for fun I'll go tip a non-afk entertainer 50 grand just for being there. I constantly have items that I give to random newbies just to clear up space in my inventory.

So, along with my guide here's some advice....

You can use this method to get your character everything he needs without turning your in-game experience into a boring waste of time. Sure, it's not "fun" to grind. But in many ways it is neccesary due to game mechanics. One buff session at a time you will see progress. Use the rest of your time to have fun, be social, run themeparks, go loot hunting, do NPC missions in towns (criminals, nobles, etc.. give pretty cool loot to display in your home!). Try to have fun with all of this!

If you want to be a power-grinder you can use these same methods and end up with plenty of money and experience at the end of the day.

Don't forget to be nice to your group leader...if they're stuck in the city keeping the group up to strength, they are not going to be getting much payout or exp so would probably appreciate a tip or 2.

Agreed! And to add to that, be cutious and respectful to your group leaders and members. If you just looted something (for example an adhesive) that you don't want offer it up in groupchat. I sold an orange rug adhesive in like 5 minutes this way.

If the group leader needs to logoff feel free to volunteer to take over group leadership so you don't have to start all over again. If you're group leader don't just disband and logout leaving people high and dry, try to give it to someone else.

The command to transfer group leadership is /makeleader The target must be withing 64 meters or less to transfer as well.

Hope this is a helpful guide so far. With the same old new grind people are using sologroups a lot now. This is by far one of the biggest area's when it comes to the community interacting with each other. Groups are an essential tool in the grind towards making money and mastering force sensitive skills. Be a good group member. Help each other out, answer "silly" questions, and try to make your playing experience and the playing experience of others fun and worthwhile!
