Alright there is probably many questions about melee/ranged defense that some people might be confused with, please post your questions and asnweres here
MY QUESTIONS
1. Is it true that Melee/Ranged defense caps out at 125?
2. Will I notice a differnce between 110 Melee defense and 125 melee denfense in PVP/PVE?
3. and how the heck does defense work? The higher the defense, the more percentage of damage it takes away from the attack or what??
Like I said, please post defense questoins and answere here.
Lets also talk about def vs dizzy/stun/blind/knockdown. How much do you really need...

1. Yep
2. Depends on how observant you are
3. Higher Defense = Lower chance to get hit. The amount of damage youtake when you're actually hit is not affected by Melee/Ranged Defense.

yeah but a TKM hits every single time......so there basically is no point to have melee defense if your fighting a TKM?

If you use a centre of being macro (being a Melee Fighting class) you can increase your dodge/avoidance of attacks. For a guide on this check here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=fencer&message.id=26656
Although it's in the Fencer forum it works for all the elite melee professions.
