FRS - Force Ranking System
Dev - Developer

You'll pick up a lot of it quickly.

What does Fight Club mean? I keep seeing this mentioned but am still not sure what it's about. It seems to be related to Jedi in some way.

Also, what does RE'd mean?

Fightclubbing is basically when Jedi Knights/Dark Jedi Knights (or higher in the FRS) continually kill Master BH bots to gain FRS XP.

Often abbreviated to FC; Fightclubbing: FCing; Fightclubbed: FC'd.

RE'd means Reversed Engineered/Engineering - quite literally, the opposite of Engineering - Shipwrights (SWs) breaking down components (mainly looted components) into basic materials in order to reconstruct them with a substituted item to enhance the component in question.

Thanks for the help so far Kyodor. I've found alot of people to be helpful online too, I've just got a lot of catching up to do. Last time I play a MUD (that right there should tell you soemthing ) only two people could be logged in at any one time and you only got 45 minutes to play the ascii based text game!

What server are you on?

Not to disappoint you, but you could've gotten all of the SWG and the expansions (JTL and RoTW) for $30 if you waited a month.

I'm glad you're here. We need more players.

I've seen a ton of new people lately. I'm just curious if they know about the all-in-one package coming out.

So I'm really new to this online gaming thing and there is a lot of terminology being thorwn around on these forums I can't follow. Some of them are SWG related some of them are just generic terms for online gamers so I'm owndering of there is a FAQ somewhere that lists these things?

For example, what is a fight club or an FRS?

Malize, I was perusing this site before I bought the game and saw the deal where you could buy ROTW+JTL for 25$. I decided to go ahead and buy ROTW+JTL in the store locally, like I said to support the game. While I'm sorely tempted to purchase the ROTW expansion digitaly, I'm not real familiar with how it works and wil most likely choose to wait until ti comes out in the stores to purchase it.

Of course you're talking to a guy who never pirates music/movies or any other sort of material for the most part because I like to support the people who do all the hard work getting it out there. In this case it's not that much of an issue since it's a deal straight from the company but I figure spending the few extra bucks - I'm not hurting for cash - will help out in some small way.

I'll chip in with some other acronyms and abbreviations:

AFAIK - As far as I know.
IIRC - If I remember correctly.
Gank - To Kill.
WC - Wrong Chat (Infrequently used).
Buff- Enhance.
Nerf - Opposite of "Buff", usually a permanent condition.
Debuff - Also the opposite of "Buff", but usually a temporary condition.
ADK - Anti Decay Kit.
ST - Storm Trooper, but also Abbreviation of AT-ST.
Farm(s) - Usually a player - created leveling/grinding spot with the simple intention of gathering a lot of Loot/Credits/XP/FP.
Maint - Maintenance.
AUK/WUK - Armour Upgrade Kit, Weapon Upgrade Kit (Used by Smugglers to "Slice" Weapons).
SMC - Singing Mountain Clan.
TBC - To be Confirmed.
CURB - Combat Upgrade/Revamp/Balance.
ROTW - Rage of the Wookies (Upcoming second expansion).
TK - Teras Kasi.
BH - Bounty Hunter.
CST - Cross Server Trade.
AT-PT - All Terrain Personal Transport.
MO - Mining Outpost (Dantooine).
Coro/Lagnet/Corolag/Cor - Coronet. "Cor" can also be used for "Corellia"
BF - Battle Fatigue.
Rezz - Ressurection.
Comp - Composite (Armour).
LS - Lightsaber.

That's all I can think of right now.

Thanks Kyodor. My list is getting a little outdated too.

Here's a few more I remembered to post:

Commonly used acronyms for professions:

BE = (B)io-(E)ngineer
BH = (B)ounty (H)unter
CH = (C)reature (H)andler
DE = (D)roid (E)ngineer
ID = (I)mage (D)esigner
AS = (A)rmor(S)mith
WS = (W)eapon(S)mith
CM = (C)ombat (M)edic
TKA = (T)eräs (K)äsi (A)rtist
TKM = (T)eräs (K)äsi (M)aster
SL = (S)quad (L)eader
Mxx = (M)aster xx (xx = whatever profession)

The next group of acronyms are in relation to resources in the game. Different attributes are important for crafting different types of items.

OQ = (O)verall (Q)uality
PE = (P)otential (E)nergy
DR = (D)ecay (R)esistance
UT = (U)nit (T)oughness
SR = (S)hock (R)esistance
CR = (C)old (R)esistance
HR = (H)eat (R)esistance
ER = (E)ntange (R)esistance
CD = (C)on(D)uctivity
MA = (MA)lleability
FL = (FL)avor

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."
