Using a bug in the game to get or do something that is not attainable through normal play.

That qualifies too.
An exploit is anything that gets around in-game limitations to provide the exploiting player some gain. It could be a bug (credit duping from client/server lag, weapons or armor getting sliced twice). It could be a third-party program that "sniffs" at the network data to reveal info you're not supposed to have (IIRC, EQ had a problem at one point with programs that would give players a "radar" to spot other players, which wasn't an in-game feature at that time). It could be modifying the SWG game files to change how things work (although since the majority of the calculations are handled on the server, there's probably not a whole lot that can be done this way).
