Yes, it still works. You don't need to decode them (in fact I don't think you can). The Dead-Eye decoder is from Act II

I still have my decoder and three of each side's disks, but I think the decoder is non trade-able and I would have to charge a lot for each disk since they are very rare.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

The Decoder is indeed tradable. To prove it, consider this: It's a rebel only item and I have one. I've been Imperial since the first week I played. So yes, it is tradable.

Um, it's an anyone item actually. Since it is from Act I and nobody was winning at the time. And the first disc you decode isn't one of the 4 encoded discs, it's one that tells you where to go or some other information. You need nothing but the 4 encoded discs to decode them.

Well the disks don't drop anymore and are very rare since someone would have to keep them from all the way back then when they did drop. They are called "Encoded Rebel Transmission x/4" and "Encoded Imperial Transmission x/4". The others like "Imperial Plans x/4" and "Encoded Disk" and "Imperial Transmission x/4" are not the same and just give you a few faction the first time you turn them in and credits after that.
