Thread: what skills should I drop?

I plan on becoming a master rifleman, master tailor, and a master weaponsmith, but there's a problem, I overshoot the point limit or 240 by about 13 points, which3 skills should I drop (including master of either 3)?

You have a total of 250 points (not 240) so check you math again. If you plan to get the actual "master" level of a profession you have to keep all the skills under master. The only thing you can sacrifice is a skill ina tree you dont really need or a top level skill if you just cant get that high.

Ok yeah 250, I used the online character builder, http://swgcb.yogn.net/swg-cb.php?as=466&t=4 , I dropped the 3rd line in rifleman so I could master tailor and weaponsmith, but that leaves me with enough points for 2 boxes in business so I can place access fees and premium auctions. I just wish I had 13 more points.
So i'll be a good maker of things, but only a moderatly good sniper. So should I keep with this or lose some tailoring points and be a better fighter?

I am currently training my last fs skill set and i have to drop some skills

doc - heal and buff self, state cures
swordsman - melee defenses.
Hard choice..

I would drop Doc first and try to keep Medic x/x/4/x for as long as poss, while dropping Swords Skills slowly to maintain your melee defences for grinding.

well i have no other melee profesions w/ my jedi im master med 0032 saber and 0002 enahnce. i have no problem fighting things w/ my Stim E'S

The best to use would be TKM and doc. TKM because you can hold onto all the added melee defence from 0004 tka until you master sabers and have all your self support skills. Keep 4004 TKA and Drop all of Medic when you have 3000 healer in Jedi. Doctor has a huge skill point cost. Jedi has extremely high skillpoint costs for the lower level skills. Just to get 0044 sabers costs you 48 skill points. That is pretty much dropping all of doctor to attain that. You can use the meditate line in tka to cure dots, and to heal wounds as well.

I was doc swords so had the same choice....kept doc, self buffing and big quick heals helps a lot when grinding.

i was Master pikes/ 4440 doc when i unlocked
i drop pikes right down to 0040 when going up in sabre skills (i kept defences line)
and dropped the remaining doc skills as i started to learn the healer trees
with jedi skills as all novice boxes are 8 SP and then the first boxes of each line are 8 SP also its scarey how much u have to drop so quickly for what seems at the time to be little gain
