Can someone provide details on how to combine the items? Each time I try, the Printer absorbs the other parts, then shows "0 of 5" and will not work.

Have you put in all the parts needed yet? I am working on several, and while there has been no change in the status of the printer, I know I cannot add a repeat part to it. e.g. put in a canvas, the printer wont accept another canvas.

Here is what I have learned so far:
1) The only indication you have dropped a part in is when you try to drop that same part in again. It won't let you but it gives no message indicating why it won't accept the part.
2) If you drop some parts in, but have not completed the kit, and log out the contents poof.
3) Sometimes they bug and will act like a container. Once that happens you can not complete them.
4) Some of theprinters create items that are otherwise lootable. I.E. the BE picture, Party Picture, etc. Waste of time and parts.
Best advice I can give, don't drop any of the parts in until you have all the parts to complete the kit. Also, make sure you have space in your inventory when you drop the last part in, as this seems to be what bugs them to start acting like a container.

imo they're broken, the components just disappear inside and nothing happens

No...they are not broken...I thought the same thing when I first tried them! LOL You drag the parts over that is tell you need...and if you are using a picture printer you need the brown viewscreen and the gray viewscreen for the other printer type. Once, all they parts have been add to the printer including viewscreen(yes they will disappear but notice you can't add they same part again{so something is there}) It will automatically turn into a picture...it does not work like the former loot kits

You can add parts seperatly no problem...you can even add, log, and continue adding parts...I did and everything worked (make sure you have the correct viewscreen for the kit though it is the most important item(they can be easly confused with each other))

That really sucks, I had one old broken viewscreen that I cannot use now, because it poofed. Great. Any ideas where to find the old viewscreens?

The brown ones are dropping off of Chunkers and Sleemos on Talus. Still trying to find what drops the grey ones.

in regards to viewscreens, the picture printers take the light-brown viewscreens, and the viewscreen printers take the grey colored viewscreens.
the picture it spits out is completely random - i have heard of the following pics being outputted:
Trandoshan Wanted
Coro Skyscraper
Double Helix
Droids in Contrast
Bio-Eng

One thing is that the broken view screens takes a couple different parts then the broken hand-held view screen. It gets really confusing.
Wish the Devs would've listed on the viewscreens what are needed like they did the first loot kits...

Is it just me or is it this way for others...that if I drop one of the parts into the printers and log out...Next time I log on again I have to start collecting the same parts again?? Have tryed this a couple of times now and well the printers gets Resetted??

I have brown viewscreens on my vendor just south of Mos Eisley on Eclipse ( 2524, -5116 ) or check my sig for more info
