I just finished the sith mission yesterday.
I were attacked by the sith at my hometown shuttleport, looted 'a waypoint disk' (or so from them) Instead of using it immediatly i went to dathomir to help a friend with his quest, then during a break i tried to use the disk and got a message like 'You have to loot it before you can use' .. very strange.
Then i remembered back, when i went glowy with my first char and thought 'Ohh ... you have to use it on the planet where you looted it from. So i went back to corellia and still got the same message from the disk. So i decided to walk outside coronet and try it again. Once i left the city another 2 sith (only 2 are attacking you) appeared, i slayed them, got the disk (again) and immediatly used it. You get a waypoint to a sith camp, with 3 sith around. I killed them and got another disk. Used that disk and got the wp for the village.
I hope my experience may help you how to do or fix your mission. If not open an CSR ticket, if you are nice to them they can be very helpfull.

Yeh cheers for the info mate, i had that problem too with the disk saying i couldn't open until i had looted it, but this happened 2 times and on the 3rd time i could read it. The place i could read it was on Talus which is where the wp for the sith camp is supposed to be, i will keep trying. Annoying because i have maxed out my xp and need to trade it in.

The same thing happened to me when I tried to find the encampment that the first 2 sith's datapad had. When I got to the waypoint, there was nothing there. I ended up taking a shuttle to a town on the other side of the waypoint from the way I had been coming in (I had been coming in from the NW, so I took a shuttle to a city SE of the waypoint, and came in from the SE), and going to the waypoint from that direction. For some reason, that worked and the camp spawned just like it was supposed to.

Try dropping the disk in a house. Pick it back up and see if you can't use it then.

Hi,
I'm currently doing the missions you get from the old man. Was wondering if there is a bug issue with this at the moment?
I have killed the 2 sith that attack, even though I had to kill 6 of them, 2 on 3 different occasions.
Now i'm trying to do the mission where you have to go to the WP and investigate the area discovered in the datapad. I have been told by friend who have already done this that you are supposed to be attacked at this point to get more data relating to the whereabouts of the village. This doesn't happen for me, I get to the WP nobody appears yet it says i have completed that mission.
When i log back in again it tells me i have to do the mission again and the same thing happens.
Does anyone know why this would be happening?
Also sorry if this is the wrong place to do this post.
