Thread: Looking for a workaround on the Rodian Hunter quest space delivery

I thought I had one, it's not working.


Guildmate is *not* a pilot beyond their basic craft. The pelts are collected, need to deliver in space. I loaded up a multi-player ship, grouped and off we went. I got to the drop point, docked with the freighter but my guildmate didn't get credit for completion.


Anyone know how to finish this (aside from the player actually docking)?

do it in a single player ship.


Hyperspace to corellia system: Talus secta...then fly around for a bit till you get attacked. As soon as you get attacked hyperspace to corellia system: corellias own.


The enemy ships will hang at talus secta and you fly up and doc with the frieghter....no probs.


***note*** if you get attacked again right after you arive in corellias own, hyper to another point.

The problem is this is a Tier 1 player and the ships attacking are Tier 4. Granted, this could be because I'm an Ace pilot, so the game was sending ships to my level, but I don't think that's the case.


Hrm.


Could go in two ships, make sure my guildmate has an "escape" jump hot-keyed, and as soon as the bad guys spawn start the jump (and RUN) while I deal with the fighters. That might work.

tier difference shouldn't matter....if you do what I say you can do it without even getting hit.


while waiting for the hyperspace to countdown...don't fly around and dogfight...fly completly straight and boost until you jump

They can't dogfight - okay they can but it will be suicide - I just want to see them get out before they start taking hits.

They way I passed this mission was to fly straight for the waypoint and once the freighter you dock with jumped in hit my IFF Transponder (the one that breaks their lock on you)special and docked. Worked very well for me, they didn't attack again until I had completed the mission.

POB ships have always been able to complete all Mission tasks EXCEPT docking. For some reason if a player must dock with something in a mission, the mission will not recognize the POB ship. But in every other mission you can use a POB ship to help firends out.

Oh wow, NICE Safety Tip! Didn't even think about that, since Imperials don't have IFF Scramble (but my guildmate is Rebel Alliance)

Hmm, I tried that and the ship wouldn't let me dock. I'll try it again tonight; I'm tried of having all those hunting grounds missions stacked up in the journal

Its no use trying of you are a low level pilot, after the first part which can be bypassed by hyperspacing you have to escort a freighter through the kashyyyk system while its getting ganked by tier 3 a-wings, and then if you manage to survive that there is another mission after where you need to go kill someone. Im guessing it wont be a tier 1 nuna either.



I hate space :/

Don't think it's anything to do with your level. I'm only 2222 Pilot and I get Tier 4's as well.... the tip about hypering out will really help with this one.


However, my problem is with the next stage, I loose the freighter I'm supposed to escort because I'm up against Tier 3 A-Wings and I'm in a Y-Wing Any workarounds for that?
