Thread: how tough is Old Scratch?

before i go run down there solo ... what CL is Old Scratch?
is he surrounded by other creatures?
how tough is this part of the quest?

He is i believe level 81, with level 79-81 that come to help him. Being a riflemen with the +15 range arms made it easy as I conceal shotted him until he noticed, than ran to the side where i could not see my target. Him and all his little buddies would run back and begin to heal. Took me a while to figure it out but I solo'ed him.

Can befairly difficult, but you shouldbe ok. Scratch himself is a tough one-on-one fight, so your best bet is to pick off all of his friends one by one. Then, he can easily be tanked with a combination of ruby bliel and stims, no matter what your combat template. Level 81, 17kish health, I believe.

I just charged him and blasted away and got ganged up on by all his buddies but kept healing and only incapped twice before i killed him then pop'ed a parawan and jettted out of there not too hard and it was all done and over with in about 1 min. The thing you gotta watch out for is that that area is bugged to hell with the cannot see target message even though they can be standing right in your face but sometimes you can use that to your advantage.

I took a buddy down with me and it was tough but not too bad. With good tactics you could solo it.

just get a group, my group destroyed the whole shadowlands in less then 20 minutes, got the katarn too

I soloed him i am MCM, 4040 BH, 4410 rifleman. i used a droid to pull him in and about 5 min later he was dead

Yeah this was very true in the webweaver area. But thats ok, saved me time killing them

Humm...maybe the droids could help with the Katarn too??? Anyone try this yet?

I burst ran to him, which lead a few battle droids and droideka close to him. Soon everyone began fighting each other and I was able to beat him solo as a TKM, Master Swords and 4000 doc.
