Tell me what u think

Okay, what I discovered yesterday...

I went to Lok as a Novice Marksman thinking that things would be all fine and good.. Heh. Take a look before you go out.. Things are alot harder here. I'm going to go ahead and break this down into sections, that way its very simple to understand and you'll grasp the idea of how it can be done on virtually any planet.

1. When you arrive at Lok, hit Ctrl + M you'll bring up a city map. I leave mine on at all times, because I rarely trust the radar. Head over to the cloning facility and spend the 1000 creds to get your DNA stored. Definate advantage to this..

A. When you are killed, you don't get those nasty black bars.

B. Very little happens to your character as a whole

C. On desolate planets, it lets you get where you need to quickly if you choose suicide routes.

2. After cloning open your waypoint map Ctrl + V there is a pretty little display of ways to get waypoints. Go ahead and click "Cloning Facility" You may be surprised, there is an Imperial Outpost with a Cloning Facility. Its approx 8400m away from Nym's Stronghold. There is also alot of things that will aggro on you. I suggest having a couple slots in Scouting before you do this, /maskscent really works. If all else fails and you die, you have a clone to go back to.

3. Keep in mind that Lok isn't heavily populated with people. I.E. Its pretty hard to find Entertainers and Doctors when you have black bars. I can't stress enough how important it is to clone to noob's. It is however populated by very high HAM creatures that unless your in a group are Red/Red (Red dot in the radar, red circle when you click on them).

4. Make your way down to the Imperial Outpost. Use rivers to swim in it may take longer, but it is a little safer as far as I have noticed. Once you arrive there, go straight to the clone center and clone.

5. Now comes the fun part... I have noticed that the Dune Kimogila's and the Giant Kimogila's (both well over the 15k HAM range) like to hang out in that region. Scout around the stronghold you will eventually find a lair. I have found them as close as 60m from the base, sometimes as far out as 150m. Get within 60m no more than 68m from them and fire off a single shot and RUN. This is called pulling. The creature will be startled, but it will come after you (Even though you may at times have to shoot it twice.. If you shoot it, it will come.). Be ready with your burst run, because these things are quick. Get about 95m away from it pause just a second to make sure its coming to you... If it is... KEEP running. If it kills you (rarely just an incap) you only have about 40 secs or so to get back to where you can shoot it again and keep the process going.

6. Now you have this big beast chasing you... Run right back into the compound. Don't think that the Storm troopers will be much help to you because they die really quickly and prove useless. Next to the cloning facility is almost like a caged in compound (I like to think of it as a prison camp) next to that should be a power generator looking thing.. That's where this all comes together.. Remember to have Ctrl + M up and get familiarized with the wonderful generator.

7. Run around the compound in that area until the Kimogila is stuck behind that and you have all the rest of the base behind you. Once it is stuck, it will look like it is trying to run through the generator but it can't. (Until they fix that bug too). I generally find that shooting it with any gun Rifle, Carbine, or Pistol will net you around 3300 to 3500 weapon xp. If you harvest it, you will get an even 2k scouting xp (too bad I found out they have a 20k xp cap on that. So you can't fill all your blocks in one outing, unless there is an Imperial there willing to teach you.)

8. This process takes aprox 10-15mins depending on the gun you use. Also do not use OverCharge shot on it, you gain no Ranged Support xp. Use your special abilities I.E. Mind Shot, Body Shot, Leg Shot. It will take some time, and you may be killed a few times but its worth it in the end.

9. Rinse and Repeat as necessary. I dropped 9 by myself yesterday and figured you guys might like to know this.

...Seven little words I like most..."I've got a bad feeling about this."
