Ok. I was told to come here and ask for help by a CSR, so I will do so, in good faith. I HAVE searched, and have found nothing on this problem.
Went to the village, started crafting quest. No problem.
Went and got the parts. No problem.
Went and got the one use schematics. No problem.
Went and got the resources. No problem.
Made the pieces. No problem.
Did the first calibration puzzle. No problem, in fact, EXCELLENT! Pleasantly suprised by actual clever working content.
Got the first oneit at 70%. (I think I only had one extra move. I recognized this puzzle. I like puzzles, and this was a variant on Magic Square on the old (ancient) Merlin game system from back in the 80's.)
Tried to do the second calibration puzzle.
I got Black, Grey, White. Got it on the second try. So I thought.
Looked right to me. I certainly couldn't tell any difference in the grey, and the black and white were at full hue, so they were right.
Perhaps it requires a finer calibration, I think.
So I stretch out the window to the width of the screen.
I then decay the piece to 0% alternating between two notches onindecernable shades of grey. Irritating.
I start up the third puzzle, and it's telling me it's my last calibration? Huh? I have two to go. Odd.
It's the allign the green rows with the white column. No sweat, get it at 60%
Go back to the sensor thingy.
Two components damaged. WHAT?
I never even TOUCHED the fourth one!
Can't make new ones, schematics are consumed at creation.
Can't reset quest, the quest giver won't talk to me beyond telling me to get it fixed.
Can't find anywhere in my crystal to restart quest. (maybe I missed it?)
Can'tget new quest, (obviously) it's a village thing.
Sent in polite ticket to CSR's complaining about bug.
Brushed off bybeing toldto go to forums since helping me might reveal something about the method of progression.
Whatever. Players know the game better anyway.
Anyway, I'm turning to the forums in the hopes that I have overlooked something.
Uhhh.... Help? Someone? Anyone?

go to the device that allowed you to deconstruct the parts and get the schematics the first time. the device has the schematics in it and will give you another 1 use schematic.

What I wanna know is... what MORON coded it this way? Trying to exactly match shades of GREY??? Good luck... that's a "dumb luck, no skill" puzzle if I ever saw one.
I normally don't refer to devs as morons in my posts, but this one deserved it. Shades of grey... jeez.... idiotic...

It is so frustrating to do this! This has got to be the dumbist thing the devs have put in the whole fragging game.

I - and at least one other player I know of - had my Banner for completing the combat/patrol missions vanish from our inventories.
It appears there are quite a few bugs in the Village...
