Ok, first of all, why don't we have a forum for this sort of message, that's a bit ridiculous.
For the past three days I have had problems with my system suddenly rebooting. I've changed nothing and it only seems to have been happening since the latest pre-patch downloads. I will just take a few steps and suddenly, reboot. On the first and third times it also completely reset my profile.
Has anybody else experienced this? I've tried a disk-scan, defrag and full scan of SWG.
Thanks.

Could it be that new virus that reboots computers? Try doing a virus scan.

There's a forum for this kind of thing, it's General Any Topic near the bottom of the category list.
Anyway, have you checked the temperatures in your computer? I once had a similar problem like this where my computer would just suddenly reboot out of nowhere and after awhile I found out the fan in my power supply had gone out, so every time the temperatures were getting dangerously high the computer would automatically reboot to try and prevent any permanent damage to the system. After I replaced the fan in the power supply everything was fine again.
Make sure to check out every fan and coolant system in your computer to see if any of them have broken, or are operating at slower speeds than normal (where it wouldn't cool your system as much). If your computer is overheating this could very well be the reason why your comptuer reboots suddenly.
Then again, it could be something complete different, always hard to tell with this kind of thing.

I had this issue as well...ended up being a virus. Do an internet search if you're getting a message before it reboots. There are fixes out for it

If a 60 second countdown accurs, and you can nothing but wait, it means you probably have a virus. I could be wrong, but i belive it is the Blaster Virus. There is also a new virus called The Bin Laden Virus, and i have no clue what so ever about what that does, so you might want to check up on that.

What are your system specs?
I had this same problem and narrowed it down to my video card causing crashes while in the game. Card was a Radeon 9800 Pro. I have a temp card in it that is a GeForce 400MX and it has run without restarting for about a month.

I have the same issue. Sometimes I can go days without one incident, other times it does it repeatedly. My apartment is kept at 73degrees most of the time. One thing I did, and you may want to do as well is go to your System Properties and Disable "Automatically Restart" on system failure.
Windows XP:
Right Click "My Computer" Icon.
Left Click on "Properties"
on the System Properties window, click on the "Advanced" tab
Click on the "Startup and Recovery" button
Uncheck "Automatically Restart"
What this will do is instead of just restarting, you should get a blue screen when these problems occur. The information on this screen MAY help you determine what the problem is. I've heard that this issue, if now virus related, is usually caused by faulty RAM, Heat or bad Power Supply.

He is right. DEFINITELY check the RAM in your system. If you have multiple chips, take one out at a time and test the system with each one. I upgraded my system to 756 MB of RAM last fall because this game lagged WAY too much. A few months later, the 256 MB chip shorted and the system rebooted whenever it felt like it.
Removing the chip solved my issue, but also brought me back down to 512, so once again, I am the king of LAG.
