Quit complaining about the gating of the village. You do not have to wait, just become glowing with the force. Per TH's post
Of course, if you qualify for the visit under the new system, you will automatically be granted a visit from the old man.

problem is we who are glowing are now waiting for this mythical old man...has anyone seen him on a live server yet?

Right now the system is probably pouring over all the hundreds of people logged in and bogged down. Once it gets down checking everyone it will be able to run some instances of the old man. Probably not unlimited instances but a couple. It will take a few days to process through everyone. If you are glowy I think it could take up until this weekend to get visited.

Yeah but does that mean people who's force sensetivity reads "You feel an inner glow. The force is with you.", or people who have mastered all of their holocron professions in between publish 9 and 10?

Does it matter ?
I think 50% of the playerbase will be gone by the time this old guy turns up anyhow.
