I thought that there was a cap of 900k points total.. how did you lose 900k and then 700k? The only time I have had this happen is when I dropped from pistoleer and dropped all pistol skills. The first time that I used a pistol after that, I lost almost all of the XP that I had gained (about 200k), and was left with something like 2k, and I got a system message explaining why it happened.

YeahI had droped pistols and unarmed >.< I still have brawler though...

There Lies your answer he was capped and somthing happend in his group or himself to trigger the overage drop

no, and it would have happened regardless of what you attacked.

All skills have a cap. Yours when you gave up Pistols was 900k. When you used a pistol at the skill level you were, you were compaired to what your new Cap was. All extra exp was lost.
Unarmed will do the same thing, it will reassign the Cap if it's lowered.
