You are only guaranteed four.

You did 17 profs total and along the way had a holo go silent. That means your four revealable profs were all completed, leaving 13 extra profs completed and 15 uncompleted professions.

Your final four holo profs could all theoretically be amongst the 15 professions you did not do.

So I have done 4-7 holocron professions (since I did not unlock)?

Guess I'll find out how many silents I hit when those darn Sith try to bully me.

My question is this:
If you're holocron was silent before Publish 10, how many holocron professions are you guanteed to have completed?
I mastered 7 professions. Then I used 2 holocrons and did those 2 professions for a total of 9 professions done. My holocron went silent. I did 8 more professions and stopped. Total of 17 professions.

Admiral Ackbar Says: It's a combinatorics problem!

You ground 17 professions, 4 of which were Holoprofs and 13 of which could have been silent.

P(0 of 4 found) = 6.7%. P(1 of 4 found) = 29%. P(2 of 4 found) = 40%. P(3 of 4 found) 21%. P(4 of 4 found = unlocked) = 3%.

And for what it's worth, the probability that your next mastery would have unlocked you (that is, P(4) for n=14 was 4.9%.

In the beginning, you needed to master 5 holocron professions that were generated for your character in order to open your Force Sensitive slot. Holocrons would tell you 4 of the 5. Then, as Jedi started to emerge and their population ballooned, the requirements were raised and you then needed to do 8 holocron professions.

It is unknown at what time during my grinding that they raised the requirements from 5 to 8.

So if my holocron was silent, does that guarantee I did at least 4 of my "holocron professions"? How did holocrons work? We know they told you 4/5 in the first system, but what did they do when they added 3 more "silent" professions? When your player is created and they give you a hidden list of professions to do to get FS slot, do they also specify which professions the holocrons will tell you?Or perhaps, which ones they won't tell you (silent professions).

So if my holocron was silent, then does that mean I did at least 4 holocron professions?

Damn this is confusing.

Appreciate any input.

Nope you have 4 silent (or did) so you will never know with a low prof count most likely...

with the system at 8 total 4 silent you had to much of a random chance and the combos are crazy hi
