I mastered 7 professions (including my 4 holo professions) before they started giving out profession badges. Ive since mastered all bar politician.

But im now stuck on 97 badges and I want my badges for these 7 professions.

If some of those professions include say dancer/musician/entertainer I believe they stated that AFK-ing the profession will not give you a badge,I read it somewhere in the entertainer forum I believe, a bunch of them were mad at this soo SOE said AFK-ers will not get badges. As for the other ones I dont know why you didnt get them, I mastered my only 3 professions (scout, marksman, BH) before those badges, and recieved the badges for them.

i mastered smuggler within the first month - and im not gonna master smuggler again just to get the badge.. thats kinda silly, so yes i'd also like to get this "fixed"

I mastered Marksman only before the badges came out...I didn't get the badge....So...I spent the time to re-master marksman...

But I got Jabba's Badge of Honor well before the badges came out....and I managed to get that one without having to re-do the themepark...which wouldn't have been a big deal...I was all prepared to do it....until I noticed I had it already...and if I remember correctly, they said they weren't going to apply them at all. :/

Odd.

As for the badges not showing up on AFK grinders...that's not true.

Look at all the AFK Zombies in Coronet...They are 100% AFK and they all have Master Badges for Entertainer/musician/dancer.

Bored of the Grinding. Taking a break for an unspecified period of time.

Regarding AFK Entertainers there is a missunderstanding here. They are not talking about the badge you get after Mastering a profession.

They are talking about rare badged only CSRs or Dev can give.

In the AFK Entertainer case here's what heppened. CSR walk into a cantina. Says he's there to give a badge to someone for his great service to the comunity by proviting mind buffs etc and then goes to give it to an AFKer wich pissed a lot of people.

Regarding professions that where mastered before the badges they have said several times that it's imposible to keep track of these since no data was kept.

Now people will go **edit** my holo told me to do these so they should at least know wich professions I mastered for those holos.

Well again this is not the case. Your holo 1 would tell you to master a professions, it would keep track of the profession you needed to master till you mastered it. Once you mastered it the system would simply note "Holo 1 Complete" and not actualy note wich profession it was.

You will get the profession badge, afk or not.

There are special badges that can only be handed out by a CSR or DEV. They bluntly stated that AFK entertainers will never get a badge, only those recognized as actually interacting with their customers.

I know personally, lol. I did dancer and music about 80% afk, sorry, but it was way to boring to do otherwise.

Regarding Theme Park badges they where different since the system had to keep the fact that you had completed it because 1 you had to be able to still access certain area of it (Jabba's chamber for example) and 2 to make it so that once you had finished it you couldn't redo it over and over.

So retroactive badges where possible on those. There was simply no pupose to keep track of the profession mastered wich is why re tro badges are not possible.

If you read the published information concerning Publish 10 and how the devs are prorating folks who have completed some of the pre-Publish 10 path to Jedi, it explicity says that the devs have a way of keeping track of mastered professions. Whether it specifically tracks which professions or whether it just tracks number of professions mastered is up for debate. It all depends on your interpretation of the "some of the path to Jedi".

I simply remastered them all. Including Bio-Engineer, Driod Engineer, Weaponsmith and 4-5 others. They have already stated that previously mastered professions would not be awarded retrobadges.

I'm only missing three badges now, Politician, and the two unpublished racing badges. I managed to scrape by with a 328s the first day of the first track's release.

This subject has been beaten into the ground.

It has been stated repeatedly that you you will NEVER receive badges for profs mastered before they started all this badge nonsense.

re-master or forget about it. Its NOT going to happen.

PS, you and your entire guild should get the dumbass badge for naming your guild POOP.

That's only true AFTER the profession badge publish. Can't be done post that patch.

I agree on getting the missing badges - if they can track holocron Jedi use from mastering professions they sure as hell can see if you mastered the profession

For me I mastered Medic and artisian before badge counting - Just look at the Medic & Artisian Xp look at the spent AP points -

I want my badges - dammit

Can anyone please confirm that the Jedi slot will still open, even though the pre-badge professions do not show up in your character sheet? I'm up to 23 professions now and would really hate to have to go back and master CH and BE since I am now not even a scout or a medic to start towards those again. If anyone knows this for a fact, please post here. Thanks!
