Thread: Everything you need to know to grow your Aurilian Plant!
Hello all.
I am writing this guide to help clear up some of the mystery of the Aurilian plant. I have successfully grown 3 plants to large and produced over 40 fruit and have another at large (still trying to find the right settings) and another at small. These guides do work well and I suggest you try your own methods too.
There are several other excellent guides on the forums that I recommend you check out:
Aurilian Plant Care An excellent guide by Orvo, which first brought the plant to my attention
Aurilian Plant Guide - Understanding the plant and growth - v1.00 Another great guide, with perfect and easy examples on how to care for your plant.
Read the first link for a great discussion on the basics and the second link for agreat breakdown of growth settings.
Of course, I doubt you would want to read through over 27 pages, so I figured I’d sum up what we know, what we suspect and some other helpful information right here.
First off, you can get the plant as a reward for the villagequests. You get it as a small plant. The plant has three stages, small, normal (medium) and large. Each stage has DIFFERENT requirements for nutrients/water. They can have the same settings for each stage, but that is just coincidence.
From what I have seen, the current village phase has nothing to do with the nutrient levels. Neither does the farmer’s advice. Many have also said putting a torch, singing or dancing to the plant all help its growth. This is doubtful because that would require allot of coding work and a complex system for just a few people lucky to have these plants. And this is SWG you know…
Resource Quality- This is a very large issue. Many claim to have seen huge improvements when using high and low quality and others say no change is present. I have tested it personally. I did notice a 1 level increase in the growth rate on only 2 plants when i did this. I dont recommend spending millions on amazing resources because I seemed to do just fine using grind-level stuff.
If you decide to test this, first empty out your plant completely of any old resources and add yours. If there were some sort of system for resource quality, this would reset it.
How do I change levels and what is their significance?- The second link up top does an amazing job of explaining it. There is no point on me re-saying what Zina has excellently put. Read the samples carefully and you will have all you need.
Updating- Plant updating is fairly easy once you get the hang of it. You must keep your plant in a private house so you can control your updates. To be on the safe side, check your plant and then leave your house for an hour to allow it to un-load from the game world (some argue only 30 minutes or 45, but I use an hour when i am trying to find growth rates.). When you return, your plant will have updated. Water/nutrients are not always consumed when an update occurs, so just be observant.
The second link has 3-4 examples to help you out with this concept. I could not explain it any better. Plants will evolve after being at Perfect condition for a set time. The growth rate affects the amount of time obviously. Think of it as a bar of health. Each update at a positive growth rate will fill in the bar until either a fruit is grown or the plant evolves.
Here is an excellent way to map your plant growth, provided by Cytosoul. This chart is fairly self-explanatory and almost necessary for proper understanding of the Aurilian Plant.
Fruit!!- Ah, you finally made it! The fruits of your labor are… well…. Fruit. This fruit is not a buff and it is not broken. It is simply a damage stim pack in the form of food. It will heal each stat 1k each. I’d assume its good pvp food and well as a good last chance for a Jedi. Especially more since stomach filling time has been reduced.
Fruit are spawned when your large reaches perfect condition. The spawn rate is affected by your growth rate and how many times you update your plant.
Here is some good stuff to copy into your in-game notepad (reachable by /note) for quick reference:
Plant Stages:
That’s all I can think of for now. If you have any questions/comments/corrections, just send me a PM or post here. I'll be glad to help anyway i can.
Thanks,
Minass
**note**- I do not claim that i have written all of this by myself. This guide is a collection of several guides and is meant to serve as a collection of guides with my input and tips. If for any reason, you want your work/link removed. PM me and it will be done so.
I read the guides andrecorded dozens of changes and reactions on paper.Â

This is a great guide!
Wanted to see if anyone else had this happen though. My plan was in the medium stages for a few months. All that time it's growth reported as 'wilting' about 99% of the time. The other 1% it showed very slow growth. The condition varied anywhere from good to full of life. Then about 2 weeks ago while wilting it jumped to a large plant much to my pleasant surprise. This happen to anyone else?

Being the premiere Botanist on Chilastra with 11 Plants and never killing one i have an answer for you.
Some plants though uncommon have a Half cycle where by they dont 'tick' both water and nutrience together. rather they just use up 1 of them and cyle a halfway point. Usually it is the growth rate: 'None'.
I have found that however little 'None' means to the plant it is actually a positive growth rate, but in the most slow extreme you can imagine. So for your plant to last as a 'Aurilian Plant' stage (Medium) for 3 months is telling me it is one of the uncommon plants that cycles in Half cycles instead of full cycles.
I have a few like this and im trying to figure a way to reset the plant to cycle when i want it along with my other plants. My suggestion is that you tend to it a different time. If you now maintaining your plant at the same time everyday, which i HIGHLY recommend not skipping days, try to tend to your plant about 6-8 hours earlier and see if you get your actually growth rate.
Now you know seeing you changed stages, you have to start from scratch finding out what new settings it prefers. My biggest secret to success has to be keeping a daily chart on exel or what ever.
If this post takes off or if there is a more active Aurilian Plant thread in which you would like to see more of my results, let me know PM.
Since my post my large plant has been slowly slipping away. I have stored it for now since I don't want it to die as we won't be able to get them anymore :-( thanks for the info. When I put it back I will try maintaining at different times.
